Hope everyone is enjoying the hollidays, reason for being so quiet. That "awesome deal" was not that awesome for me. Upset me enough to think 4 times before trying to buy mods from classifieds.
I posted an add some time ago looking for a Cutlass 5.1 , received different pms from time to time, and passed the offers to others interested, as i was looking for a darker one.
Got contacted a few days ago by Slot Tech, i liked his mod, plus he seems the kind of guy that takes good care of his toys. The price was nice, and i agreed with it, i also stated that i can make the payment as soon as the banks open for business. Next day he realised that the price was not fit to include shipping to Romania, fact on wich i agreed with him and pm'ed him letting him know i will pay for the difference in shipping, and waited for a reply. Also he was kind enough to keep it for 1 day extra, till i can transfer the money from the bank to paypal so i can make the payment.
Got no reply , but Landlord was kind enough to let me know a cutlass was on sale on classifieds. To my surprise it was the very one i wanted and agreed on buying. So i contacted Slot Tech again to make sure he understood that i would pay extra for the shipping. Contacted me back, asking if i am ok with a certain price, 185 in this case. I replied that i will transfer enough so that 190 instead of 185 would reach his paypal, but just to make sure he packs it nice for transport. Told him i was going to make the payment in 13 hours, and his last message was about him adding some bits-and-pieces extra, and that it was nicely packed.
I lost internet connection some time during the night, i get up, ask a friend to make the payment ( 198$, just to make sure he gets 190, plus i never do paypal GIFT, just in case ). I get the call from my friend that he made the payment, and about 10 mins later i get my internet back, so i check my messages. One message sent 5 hours later after agreeing on selling it, and it being prepped and ready to ship, stated not to send the money, as he got a better offer and he sold it to someone else.
I got my money refunded as soon as he woke up, and an appology for the inconvenience. No issues regarding the money, it's all good.
If this is how things are sold, the " sale pending to matrixxu " meaning absolutely nothing , discussing one thing then changing one's mind, i must say i'm beyond dissapointed. Yes, there is a chance someone won a poker game and offered him 500 dollars for it, but even so, a message following the "sale pending" would have been appreciated.
To the one that got it after sale pending, and probably payed 20 measly dollars extra, i hope you enjoy it buddy and pay attention not to blow the atty when checking for remaining capacity in the batteries without the vv circuit turned on.
To Slot Tech, best of luck in the future, i hope noone will give you the same thrills and joys as you gave me. If this post affected your reputation, i might suggest starting a new ECF user " Grinch " as you sure as hell fked up Christmas joy for me.
