Well, thats good at least. The display just taps off the output of the regulator so nothing that it does would affect the voltage to the atty.

This is probably the first display that has gone batty, but it is a prime example of the reason for switching to the side panel access. To fix this problem I would not only have to replace the display, but the entire bottom end cap as well. The hollow end cap houses both switches, the regulator and the voltage display. To replace something like this out of warranty would cost far too much, heck, parts alone is a good $40 bucks, so I would have to do most of the labor for free so the buyer doesn't feel like they are paying for my lack of vision. Arrrrr

Ahoy. I am going to post the final pics for Chet's desk caddy so you can all get a good look at them. I decided to make some extras and put them up on the website in case anyone else wanted a chance to get their hands on one of them.
It seems there are some dedicated desk caddy makers here on ECF and I do not really want to try to compete with their niche market, but I did want to make some of these available to everyone.
They can be found here if you are interested. If I run out of stock I will make some more of them, but as they take well over an hour each to make I do not want to make a bunch and have them just collect dust on the shelves

The current batch is currently drying from their first real coat of finish. I now apply several coats of finish before I do final assembly so we are looking at, hmmm, perhaps 4 to 6 days to completion of the batch. Prior to that I will publish the choices for the next batch. Yo ho!

Cappy, are custom woods out completely, or can we still send you knife scales for the panels and the top and bottom caps as long as they're not stabilized?
I sent the coupon code to MustangSallie, you all can try to sweet talk her out of it now, it's out of me hands! Arrrr....
Panels I would take, any knife scale should be of adequate size to make end caps and door lids from although I must say that most people are choosing to have the panel match the body, perhaps it just looks better to most people like that.
