Yea, I thought it odd too, but I guess even machines can have their hiccups when making cuts. I'm just glad that the wood on the side I shaved down a bit was thick enough so as not to weaken the walls structure but still have a successful outcome ;)

I'm glad it worked out for you! I find it odd that the DCTanks fit in Fran's Destroyer, but not in yours...

Nice Destroyer ime and you do have quite a collection going there! I just might have to keep my eye out for another Destroyer made from the Granadillo myself now that I've seen yours ;) Also, I'm happy to hear that the jtank fit yours without any problems.

Yeah, a 16oz. bottle of the Howard's will last me forever so I thought I'd share in maintaining the beauty of the woods on our mods ime ;) Yup...couldn't agree more about the 'better than smoking' too. I've been analog free for over a year now and don't regret a minute of it! I only wish that ecigs had been around and caught my attention a LONG LONG time ago!!!

I just recently sold off my last Hog mod, but I sure would love to have another mod (preferably a Destroyer *wink wink @ Cappy*) made from that colorful pattern of Canarywood with the same Purpleheart ends someday!! If it had been a VV, I NEVER would have sold it.

Oh that's rightttttttt....you had one from that batch as well! I'm usually not one to go for 'girly' colors, so to speak, as my favorite colors are red and black...but this one was the exception to the rule for me. Yes, I loved how it had streaks of purple and shades of pink through out and the purpleheart just made those colors pop :)

whats up guys, i started staining the caddy, the smooth side of the yin yang is stained ebony, the other side is going to be a natural stain to keep it light, im gonna need ideas for the rest of the mod though

edit: i like the minwax stain a lot better than the cabot, seems a lot cleaner and soaks in better

Looks good ime cant wait to see it finished.
I ended up just doing a very light Honey colored gel stain on mine to bring out the grain.
Then put 5 coats of an oil and urethane clear finish on it to protect and give it some depth.

Ya know after a year of vaping I have bought so much stuff that I shouldn't have and later regretted making the purchase.
But the desk caddy Brian made me is one of the purchases I'd make again in a heartbeat.

so some of the sain leaked through.... arghhhh! so i retaped and did the edges around the whole thing in the ebony, the other side of the yin yang will be the natural,
what color should i do the rest of the caddy? like a red mahogony is what i was thinking, but maybe that would make the light side stand out to bad? any suggestions for the body of he caddy color?

lol, yea mike, like i said earlier, the hog mod 27 is what got me into wood mods, once i got 78 vv im not letting it go! now these destroyers are pretty amazing too,
the caddies look great, fairly cheap price and fun to mess around with, this one might be a scrap, but my first try at trying to multi stain, my gf thinks im nuts, but its fun.

i found a better way to tape the edges up, i covered up most of the thing in tape, then used my gf's scalpel from anatomy class to cut around it, sharp enough for the tape and wasnt to sharp to leave marks in the wood.

Lol I'd show ya how mine turned out but Capt did a custom logo for me and I wont post it here, heck I leave off my sig when posting in other suppliers threads.
Yeah I'm liking the the looks of these destroyers. If I wasn't buried under Dr. bills right now I'd be saving up waiting for a nice Ziricote one to hit the website.

Have you all seen this yet?

wattage adjustable 5~10watts. I think it goes for around $45.

cool stuff... I think it'll have a big impact on mod world.

It certainly is a way to make a metal tube mod VV, but would have no appeal to myself as a box mod maker. 20 bucks more than the current one I use, not really space saving, limited to 10 watts vs the 25 watts the current regulator can put out but still a great idea for converting the 3.7v mods to VV.

Night all
