Most battery manufacturers overstate the mAh ratings to sound better trustfire/ultrafire is good for that. AW does not overstate the ratings. I have used both and honestly I get better performance from the AW and almost equal life as the ultrafire. I have only been exclusively using AW bats now for the past year and will use none other. They are the bes performing and safest batteries available IMO. That is why I only offer AW batteries on my site for my customers to buy.So you're getting about the same run time out of the 700mAH IMRs as out of the 1200mAH Ultrafires? Seem kind of strange, but I have read about the mAH ratings being pretty inconsistent. I've also read that the IMRs are a safer choice, especially when running them in series, but that as long as the PC doesn't fail, it shouldn't be an issue. Regardless, if the IMRs are lasting just as long between charges as the protected, I'll probably go to them, as well.

Yeah I really wish AW would also make a protected 18350 to give us some more choices. Not really sure why the have stuck with just the IMR on that batt. Most battery manufacturers overstate the mAh ratings to sound better trustfire/ultrafire is good for that.
