But obviously isn't my pet...that pic was shoot in Zimbabwe a couple of years ago during a walk with wild lions in an orphan lions reserve where orphan puppies are grown since the age of 3 and meanwile trained to be real lions able to survive in the wild by themselves!!

That is wonderful what they are doing for the lions. Must have been amazing to get that close to the big cats.

Your english is great. Here in the states, people speak differently across the country. I am in the southern united states and have a heavy accent. My friend from New York can not understand half of what I say. LOL

Capt. Brian has a great reputation for building fine quality mods. Heard they are beautiful and his customer service is fantastic.

I have a question for experienced VV vaper's.
I'm not a noob to vaping, been smoke free for over 600 days, just fairly new to VV.
For 1 1/2 years I've been able to get 3-4 months out of an atty consistantly at 3.7v. Since going to VV I've thrown 2 away in less than a week. Nothing has changed, same attys, liquid, just the device.
I'm running 4.3v, 2.3 ohm atty = 8.03w.
At first I thought that I was under feeding the atty so I've been feeding the he** out of it and still went bad.
Any thoughts??? What am I missing here?

As far as I know, it's all relative to the wattage. If you are running 8 watts then the method of reaching that eight watts doesn't matter to the atty coil, it's still running at the same temperature. The surface area of the coil will affect the amount of vapor it produces but I would say that yes, if you keep it wetter, it will run cooler. Too wet and as you know it produces crappy vapor as the coil can't get hot enough, too dry and it will burn out sooner due to getting hotter.

Oh yeah, meant to also say, if your used to run at 3.7v with the same atties at 5.9W, and now running them at 8 watts is a pretty big increase in heat.

Standard Joye 510. Gold band. Nothing real special, I was getting 3-4 months of use prior to switching to VV. They are the same batch of attys as well. I bought 100 of them in bulk a while back.

I had a wierd thing hapen to me awhile ago. I got my 18350 batteries in today, put them in, adjusted the voltage to 4.2 volts, put on a 1.5LR atty and fired it up. About 2 sec into my drag it felt like a pop and a massive cloud of vapor shot out. I didn't even think about the voltage being the same with a atty on. Good thing is, I didn't fry the atty.

you are measuring that resistance to verify that it's correct? If that's the case, then seems like you may have run into a few bad atties? maybe the coils are touching or something...

Sounds like a few bad ones - just unusual to run into them consecutively... I tend to vape between 11 & 12 watts consistently whether on LR, SR or HV atties and occasionally they pop, mostly they don't, so maybe it's a bad soldering job inside????

Must be the quality of the atties.
I'm quite a newbie to say from experience but I'm sure everybody would agree that any well made atty should easily withstand 8w. The thing is though, any under quality atty, unless it's doa, can still last forever if ran in low enough watts. Under 6w sounds pretty low.

I've been using this BF Hybrid 2.0ohm atty at 4.15v, which is 8.6w, and it's been about 25 days on it so far. Coils were looking brand new until I accidentally ran it at 5v(12.5w) for about 10 draws and now I can see some coils changed in color. I've seen people running their atties above 9w and still get a month or so use out of them too.. Have you tried some of those higher quality brand atties? How many of those atties do you have left now?

How much life in average do you get when using at 11~12 watts, and what atties do you use?
I've only done 10w which the atty last me only a week. But that atty wasn't in a very good condition to start with.

Well, I still have 80+ attys left, so I can go for a while even if I pop one every couple of days. Again, these attys have given me no issues at all over time, I just figured that I must be doing something wrong. I agree that 8w is not pushing the envelope. I am still getting the hang of a bottom feeder since I am used to dripping.

Bottom feeding is the way to go, dont get me wrong i still drip from time to time, but love the bottom feeding.
