Congrats on post #100!

The spalting on that Koa is cause by fungi, white rot fungi bleaches it and makes it so soft, it is really one step away from disintegrating into nothing. We have to really stabilize it to keep it workable and its still almost as light as balsa wood. Fungi can cause streaks of different colors and patterns so it really does leave a totally unique art in the wood.

That is absolutely a unique piece of wood there, no way I could replicate it again so take care!

I could have lived without knowing that my RSM has "White Rot Fungi"

Ahoy, good afternoon me 'earties! Still playing catch up with the current batch. I will post pics tonight irregardless of the state of construction, but at least ye can get a peak at how the ladies are doing. Oh heck, I can just post one now then get back to work on them, heh

Parts and pieces ready for assembly. Next step is to wire up the electronics and assemble the end caps into one unit.
