Yarrr, very quiet today. I put the desk caddy stuff behind me fer now and Batch #7 is well underway. Making all the end caps for the boxes first as usual. Didn't get started on them until just a few hours ago but away we go!
I've talked to the seller, and he will be listing more tonight. Crossing my fingers and toes and preparing to spend way more than I should.

I'm going to ask a really stoopid question here. So I apologize in advance. Is a burl where you see the big round lump on a tree trunk?
yup? it's actually where the tree is sick or something and the tree fights it. It causes the grain to get all twisted and is generally a lot stronger and heavier than the normal wood. As an added bonus, it looks way cool.

Thank you. I was talking a walk through the woods and saw some out there and just wondered. One was huge!
That's why I'm not interested in it. I don't think there is. They told me they have some blocks they will be listing and they asked the dimensions that I needed.
FV, don't tell Ben where you live. He'll be cutting down all your trees with burl!
