Can't keep up with this huge thread so i'll ask...

What's the realistic waiting time on a Cutlass 5.1? if i order one?

Tough question. Probably be easier to find one in the classifieds if you want instant access.

Other than that, I make about 2 batches per month and I presently have 2 batch lists full of names for people waiting on them, so I would say once your on the wait list, about 3-5 weeks wait currently. A small handful go up for general sales on the website at the end of each batch as well, so you can start checking the website about the time I start sending invoices for the pre-orders.

P.S., y'all remember, code ECF10 will apply the ecf member 10% discount to any website sales, if you don't want to pay full price like the non-ecf buyers do. Has this code been listed in the various master lists I wonder?

Time to post the newest FAQ to answer some of the usual questions I receive regarding RSM;

Website is Red Sky Mods - Home

Most of the mods I build are preorders. During the ordering process you will be shown a picture with all wood and hardware choices available for the batch.

Some very exotic wood choices will increase the base price of the mod. Additional costs are indicated in the selection pictures.

After making your choices, PM me what you desire and we will discuss it and clear up any questions.

Typical construction time is currently about 2-3 weeks once I get started depending on the size of the batch.

Custom engraving is available. The work area for engraving the Cutlass is 1.5" wide and 3" tall. Engravings are limited in detail to the level of a dull pencil drawing, I will reject any image too complex.

Engraving adds a flat-rate of $35 to the base price of the mod. I may require your mod to be prepaid if you request unusual or personalized engravings.

Notify me if you want a Desk Caddy fitted to your mod size included with your order. Sizes and prices will be posted on the website.

Available models for pre-order will be listed at the time of ordering.

Available models are described on the main page of the website. The website also features some video demonstrations and a gallery of past PV's sold to good homes.

All mods are shipped Priority mail and insured.

All mods have a 7 day money back, 3 month warranty on parts and labor. If I can't fix it I will also either refund your money or build you a new one to replace it for warranty problems.

After construction, if your ordered mod fails final testing for any reason, I will contact you explaining the difficulty and remake you another mod during the construction of the next batch.

Basic troubleshooting tips:

If your RSM fails to fire, things to check.

1. Did you recently adjust the voltage? The voltage display needs a minimum of 2.7v to light. Turn CW to increase the voltage.

2. Does the display work without an atomizer connected? The atomizer may be shorting out the regulator.

3. Are the batteries tight? You may need 1 or 2 magnet spacers. Place them on the positive (raised) end.

4. Is the RSM battery tab clean? I have received several 'dead' mods where either wax, dried juice or other contaminations have caused it to fail. I simply scrape them clean and send them back.

5. Are the switches making good contact? Try switching them back and forth with the 'Fire' button pressed.

6. Are you pressing the "Fire" button too weakly? Don't stop pressing when it clicks, press a bit harder until it stops for good contact.

Of my last 8 returns, 6 are covered by the above reasons. Costs us both shipping charges :(

Thanks Brian.

Next Question: When are you sending out the invoices for the next batch? hehe.

Just in case, if I'm taking a spot in one of the next two filled up lists deejay can take my spot, and I can just go on the batch after.

Back from uk vapefest and my gorgeous cutlass arrived the day before so I got to take it with me and show it off! She is a beauty!!! Ivape2 was very impressed and looking forward to his order on batch 9! She was greatly admired by all who saw her in action! Even TW frontman Jason Cropper had a vape on her! Thank you do much Cappy! I couldn't be happier! Even met THJAHAR who turned me on to RSM in the first place! He had his trusty cutlass with him two! We were definitely individual with our mods!

That's amazingly kind of you chet. But I couldn't possibly do that. I'll just get in line, or hope I can get lucky on the website this weekend :)

Very happy you like and hope you had a good time there. I've met some of the local TW crew, not sure if I met Jason at the shop but I may have as they had someone visiting from the UK. Walked out with some juice and Titans in me pockets. Nice bunch of guys.

Arrgg, this pre-order list stuff has multiplied my PM intake so bad.. sigh..

Well, if you want to be on batch 10, just post your name here.

Don't PM me with questions and give me your wood choices and hardware choices and send engraving drawings and ask a bunch of questions answered in the FAQs. Things change each batch and it's pointless to choose now.

Just post your name and we can deal with all that stuff when the time comes.

The less time I fool with paperwork, the more time I can build mods :)

Arrrr
