Guilty confession time. I've never seen it.
Get Serenity on Netflix. It's a great way to get into it if you don't want to watch the whole series first.
Wait! No! Don't do that! You have to watch Serenity last! It's the end of the story... the show leads up to it. It's only 14 episodes so it's not a huge time commitment.

I think I will check it out as well, I'm a sci fi geek from way back so I should at least take a look.

How cruel getting people addicted to a show that clearly leaves you wanting more.
One of my favorite shows was "Dead Like Me", but it also was cancelled and replaced with some god-awful show that I can't even recall. The people who decide what shows to keep and what to replace certainly seem like ...... sometimes.
