OMG - Sallie's is so freaking gorgeous! I also love my Blue Sun as well! And my original Macassar and Box Elder with the Last Unicorn on it. Though, if I have to sell one, I think that's the one. (Christmas and all)
That's the funny thing. I'm really the only person that see's mine. I could get away with basic mods, but I love the craftsmanship involved in a good mod. The way it feels, the smoothness and consistency of the operation, and most importantly, the beauty and warmth of the woods.
Well said cba...and soooo true! Nobody that DOES see my mods appreciates them like I do (they think I'm crazy to spend what I do on them)...but then...they all still smoke the stinky sticks...so it really doesn't matter to me what they think.
Did you check out the 'leopardwood' yet Matt? I'm curious as to what that one looks like now, lol.

I think Leopardwood and Lacewood are the same or are really similar..
I'ma thinkin' that I might get a wench for my LAST MOD (yeah right) made like cba's wench...with the Redheart body and ebony endcaps (unless he decides of course to sell HIS to ME, lol). I've also been wanting something with a deep red wood made and when I saw his, I thought...yup, that's what I want when my number comes up, lol.
So many beautiful woods to choose from makes for some very difficult decisions, at least for me. And then you have all the different combinations. 
It can get very frustrating trying to decide on what to go with.

Even though I've looked at the new cutlass many times now, once I saw them beside each other it still surprised me how noticeably different they were.
Cappy, would you like me to send you a lava tank for your prototype work? It's the wood one, and it's not real vapeable, so he's discontinued them. The stabilizer used was not as the supplier advertised.
Good link Airborn3. i think you just solved my wood combination for me. What i wanted was dark body on wich the grain is visible, and darker wood for endcaps. Seems to me that ziricote for main body and maccasar for endcaps would be just right.
Since i eat nickel for breakfast , my choices for button / cup are brushed steel or black, and concerning black i am worried that in time it will show signs of wear. For those that have black buttons, how well do they cope with heavy use ?
