Okay, so, is there something about a tank on an adapter that would cause my mod not to fire? It fires fine with a regular atty on it but when I try the tank with 510 to 510 adapter, nothing. It's working on another mod though.

I really don't know, sorry. It must not be making contact with the atty connector for some reason, I assume your talking about the Mark-8?

Acutally, it's Blue. It's working fine on the Mark 8. It's a mystery! Maybe I should try pulling the connector up a wee bit on Blue?

Cba - it doesn't sit flush if that's what you mean.

reposting the information from the sub thread;

Ahoy!

If you are listed on the batch #8 preorder list, I shall be notifying you of this posting to select your choices. If you are not on the Batch #8 list, then you are wasting your time contacting me to order from the following option lists.

Note: Click on any thumbnail picture for an expanded view

Mods available, the Mark-7 and the Mark-8;

Base price of either mod is still $180

Engraving will add $35 to the total price and require pre-payment :(

All mods now have beveled edges due to the new slim design recently incorporated.

Some wood types have a limited quantity, if I run out I will indicate on the picture it is no longer available. Please refresh (F5) to see the changes.

Mark-7 Tank mod; VV, 16340 batteries, 510 atty connector, voltage display. You may select an INSET Tank, or atty mounted to the top of the unit, please let me know which you want.

Mark-8 Bottom feeder; VV, 16340 batteries, 510 atty connector, 6 ml feed bottle, voltage display.

For more information on these models, please visit Redskymods.com Red Sky Mods - Home

The options for the mods has increased this Batch, I will try to simply explain how to make the choices I will need to complete your mod.

1- Choose mod type, Mark-7 (with or without inset tank), or Mark-8

2- Choose Main body wood (some wood types will add to the cost of your mod, the additional prices are noted on the picture)

3- Now, when it comes to choosing end cap wood, you can do it either of two ways. The first set of pictures for "End Cap" wood is if you want the door panel to be made from the same wood as the body, just like the mods pictured.

If you want the door panel to match the end cap wood then choose from the second set of pictures labeled "Panels" as these are the wood types I have available for matching end caps and doors.

4- Choose hardware types. You can have Chrome Plated, Brushed SS/Aluminum, Gloss black. (The Mark-7 tank mod does not need a catch cup).

5- Engraving is available. This is true engraving not Laser etching. The resolution of engraving is not as fine as laser etching but it will engrave deeper into the wood for a more 3d affect. Line art is preferable and any art will need to be converted to a CNC program. I will inform you if the art is too complex (imagine drawing with a very dull pencil and this is about as fine as I can engrave). Please see the posted pictures for examples of past engravings done for other mods.

1- Mod types;

2- Main body wood;

3- End cap wood (door panel will match body wood);

or

3- Panel wood (door panel will match the end caps);

4- Hardware;

5- Optional engraving;

PM me your choices or E-Mail at Brian_w001@hotmail.com

(Please include your E-Mail address)

I will verify your order, clarify any questions and quote you the total when complete.

I am estimating 2-3 weeks to completion barring any catastrophes.

Again, this is for Batch#8. I am currently taking names for Batch #12 :blink:

Note; the Mark-8 has been renamed from the Cutlass to the Dreadnought

Well there's going to be at least one lucky person tonight. Due to helping with dads treatments my funds are just about drained and I'll be waiting till after the first of the year to get Irene a playmate.

I'm sorry to hear that Airborn. Thoughts are with your dad.

As the Wall-mart is only 5 miles away I thought they would throw it in a van and do a home delivery. Nope, they shipped it fedex, from Bradenton to Chicago IL, Chicago IL to the sorting facility in Bradenton! Still waiting .... I just shudda got in the car and picked it up myself....

Our Walmart is literally a quarter mile away but we did find out that if you pay for something online at the lower online price, you can choose to pick it up in the store and get it same day for the online sale price. For future reference.

oh damn... a pleasant surprise. I'm on batch 8!
I wasn't even thinking about my choices, and now my brain's spinning at full speed.
Getting over heated... I should at least try to cut off the "time to smile" signal on it.

Yarrr! You bet, I still owe you prize mod from the last RSM contest, or didn't you realize you had won a free mod? Well, you can always donate it to some one else I suppose ... lol
