Just rechecked the listing. It wasn't stabilized. So mine is probably only guilty of all the voids, checks, imperfections and really fine sawdust.
Again, I'm sorry Capt'

Nah, they all have it, it's the nature of the beast as there are internal cavities and sealed cracks and voids that the acrylic cant reach so you don't know they are there until you cut into the wood and find all the little hidden surprises. The bigger the block, the more hidden mysteries await the unsuspecting craftsman, arrrrr (lol)

I was just looking at Lavatube and noticed its tiny LCD display.
Would that display be implemented on RSM? I know nothing about electronics and it just came to my mind because it looks quite space-saving.

Ahoy, good morning all, happy Monday!

Looking at the unit, it appears that about half of the tube is taken up with the electronics package, so I would think the LCD display is part of an integrated sub-assembly and not a stand alone LCD display. I have found smaller LCD displays on the market but they are attached to a larger control board that is specific to the application.

The trick is to find a LCD that is stand alone and can be used for various applications.

It looks like a nice well made mod with a very reasonable price. I wonder if the 510 connector is press fitted or sealed in any way. I also see they are stuck with using the same atomizer connector I am using, I wish someone would market a much more robust connector even if there is a significant price increase.

That's what I was thinking. The display isn't the problem. It's getting the assembly AND the volt meter together that makes it difficult.

I ordered one of these. I can take up close pics if you want to inspect it. After it gets here of course.

I got mine today. It's okay. Not bad for the price at all and it's the only tube mod I have. I actually got it for hubby because a tank and a VV tube mod is the absolute easiest I can make vaping for him. He just doesn't have the patience to learn and seems to break everything he touches. So, yeah, for that, this little mod should be just fine. It's no RSM of course but you could do worse for $69.

Exactly what I did for my husband, except I got him an iPro. I change batteries 3x a week, fill the tank every other day and we're both happy. :) He's not the type to fuss with bottom feeders, and I won't let him touch my RSM anyway. Think bull in a china shop.
