Agreed. That was very good of him to fit you in the next batch! :) I for one am happy to be delayed until batch #10. It gave me more time to find wood like I like. I just hope it's suitable. If it's not, it's going to make an awesome paper weight!

This one was sallies 6000th post

Would you rather have the style with a old and new RSM slot?

I totally would as I'll have both types of RSM and don't need so many atty holes, but I was thinking it'd be quite late to ask since you're planning on shipping them on Tuesday. Plus I didn't want to add any more non-paying work.

Easily done, 15 minutes of work and ta-da! (I spaced the new RSM slot so I can just route a new hole right over the existing atty holes and not do a whole new one).

Aaaaah. The guy in Alaska? He has an amazing selection.

One of my worries with any stabilized wood is if its too big a piece it can hide many voids and stuff, not good. All the mods I make now are 2x1" and if you get a piece 5 1/2" tall minimum I can make any mod from that. Of course a bit bigger than 2x1 would be preferable as smaller than those dimensions would make it not usable.

Also, when it comes to stabilized wood, it needs to be densely filled or the wood is going to be soft and kinda mushy when I cut into it. It will suck up alot of finish and still be a bit weak when done, especially the thin door.

If you get it and it feels very light like balsa wood, then I am probably gonna have problems with it.

In the future when I get wood that I don't like the feel of, I will just send it back with an apology methinks :)

The wood I bought is not stabilized, and I am hoping it's okay. However, I don't want to just assume, so I like your deal but I'll do you one better. Don't even send it back, just send a PM and ask me which of your wood choices I want to go with. :)

That seems extremely fair. It would suck to spend the time working it only to find that you wasted your time. Fwiw, if he got the wood where I think he did, it feels like a brick.

Sweet RSM dreams to all!

Hmmm... Is there a way to make a pink one?

Thats been asked before, Pink Ivorywood is the only thing I can come up with and that is very pricey. I am having a hard time finding more Ziricote atm for the next batch and may not be able to offer it. Is the price of wood going up for some reason? Arrrr, bored people snowed in buying it up for hobbies methinks......
