What's everybody up to? I'm sitting here trying to figure out why my Destroyer hits so much better than my lavatube with the same tank attached. Battery? Or could it be that the Destroyer was lovingly hand made while the lavatube was churned out in a factory? :D

There are only 2 mods I use.. #1 my RSM Destroyer and #2 my ProVari..done deal..

From the videos I watched it doesn't look like the Lavatube liked DC cartos also one thing I have noticed with RSM is if the batterys will give you the voltage/amperage you are requesting the RSM will do it this isn't always so with the LavaTube. This could be part of the reason

Yeah, my lavatube doesn't feel like it's giving 4.2 which is what I have it set at. Might not like the carto.

Check out this episode of The Haze Hour I think they start talking about the Lavatube around 41:30 ish and it ends around 50 minutes. I was suprised when I saw the voltage drops the Lava Tube was putting out. before this video I was thinking about getting one as a backup for my mom and a out and about mod for myself.

Here it is...

Ahhh, that IS interesting. So the numbers on Lavatube has nothing to do with the actual voltage pumping.
I've been thinking about getting one of these but will have to reconsider as well.
Maybe some ppl like the reviewer will agree that it's a 'clever' feature, but I'd prefer to be able to get more than 8.0 watts on a reg. resistance atty/carto. Seems like there's no point changing the power level. Just leave at 6 all the time and I still won't get a strong hit unless I use 3 ohm atty? hmm...

I had one for 8 hours, out of wich for 6 hours i have used different batteries and atomizers/cartomizers to test the voltages. I wasn't so bothered with the huge voltage drops ( you'd expect those on a booster mod ) , but the fact that it couldnt hold a steady voltage even with a suitable atomizer was very annoying ( i like VV , this is Very Variable Voltage ). Best way to use it is like Chet says, set it on 6v and just vape at whatever voltage it can put out ( forget about dual coils, the 1.25 was running at 3.06v ) and the 1.5 ohm atty was running at 3.56. Very good unit for someone that uses an ego and doesnt want to spend a lot of money to try out variable voltage, useless for anyone that tried a good mod that holds set voltage.

Loving my red sky mods, they get constant use. The only trouble i have is defending them from the wife :) The Dreadnought gives you a sturdy surface to press the bottle against, and feels more solid in the hand, while the 5.1 Cutlass is very versatile in taking different batteries ( 18350s last me 5.5-6ml , 16340s last me 3.5ml ). Zero leaks , best circuit out there and the fact that i can operate them with one hand even when they seem to be made for right-handers when im a left-hander says it all. Landlord did a great job in maintaining the Cutlass, it feels like a brand new mod in all aspects.

Huh. I haven't really had trouble with my lt. I just set it at 4.2 and vape away. It's satisfying and I get good hits. Isn't it only supposed to drop when you put a lr that it can't handle on it? Maybe I got a good unit. I mean, it's no RSM for sure, but it's fine for me and hubby.

I just happened to go to the RSM web site and to my suprize their was a Destroyer looking for a home. It's now heading my way. I hope it likes it here. :)

Awesome! I will hurry and maybe I can catch the postgirl before she leave.

Personally I think that is one of the best Mark-7 mods I've made so far, everything fit perfectly during construction. I hope you like her alot :)

I'm sure I will as long as she don't mind being docked next to a bunch of Provari's. LOL
