One yr something got to the nest, another yr a snake raided it...killed that one, than last yr two snakes tried. I didn't tell anyone about this...
One snake got in the home, I got hurt cause the damn snake slithered over my foot while coming in. I did something weird and hurt my ankle pretty bad, think I almost broke it. Anyhoo, had to kill it in my living room.
The second snake... The Wrens were still doing their distress call, so I stayed awake and kept watching out the front door. The snake made its move. Chopped a few hanging flowers in the process of going after and killing the snake. Didn't want to kill any one of 'em 'cause they were non poisonous snakes, but didn't have no way of transporting them to some where else.
That's the reasoning behind my thinking of giving up. But, the little Wrens need places to nest, so I'll be thinking about it through the winter. More than likely, I'll keep the house up...come what may (hopefully not snakes)
