Just started with an e-cig (first one is a Bloog not a vk) a week ago today and after the second day I ordered some juice from cigeasy so I could try different flavors. I hadn't seen this post/video until today but it's nice to see that the way I went about refilling was the way most are doing it. Refilling definitely makes an improvement over what I was getting from the original carts. Nice helpful video here kudos for that.

-------------------

When I leave the house in the morning, I bring one cart with me. One lasts me for the day when I am out now.

When I get home, I put a few drops in the top, and it lasts me until I switch to my night-time fruity vape.

I like this method a lot more than refilling, since it keeps me at just under 2 carts a day now.

after reading that I took the cart I had already refilled and had been using for the last couple hours and I put just two drops in from the battery end and I'm not sure how long it will last since I just did it about 10 minutes ago but it is definitely producing the best throat hit I have gotten with this so far, kicking the strength of the flavor up a notch, and producing the most vapor I've experience so far too and therefore the closest feel to a real cig. so thanks to you for the second time already bornagainst.

I think I'll definitely continue refilling carts the way I was (just like in the video) but now I'll know to put a couple drops in from the battery end to amplify the performance each time I put a new cart on.

Larry I was trying to read the label on the butterscotch label but could not. Where did you get it? Is it PG or VG? I love butterscotch and want to try it...especially if it is thick like you say. Thanks!

it's PG liquid, and if you check out my channel, you'll find the butterscotch..I try not to toss competitors brands in supplier forums lol.

Larry, what flavors have you had the best and worst experiences with? None of those few I've tried work nearly as well as new.
Thank you!

Menthol seems odd when you refill it, at least at first..seems like you get all menthol and no vapor..but it straightens out after a few dozen puffs..throat hit is there, flavor is there, vapor is not (were talkin about refilling remember)

marl works good but not as long as menthol does..seems to start junking up the atty sooner, maybe 5 or 6 refills before it fails.

coconut starts tasting funny after about 4 refills, flushing out the carto with distilled water and blowing it out/letting it dry for a while seems to help

I'd have to tear the cartomizers apart to determine which flavor actually junked up the coils...but i usually toss them when its evident theyre "done" lol.

I have found that the best tools for all this "diy" stuff is either dental tools or even better, sculpting tools. To be even more specific, miniature hard "wax-working" tools. I usually just order them online because because the types of stores that might carry these can be rather hard to find depending on where you live.
I can try to find the URLs of the 2-3 online sites I used to buy from if anyone's interested... :)

Thank you for making this video. It was the perfect guide to refilling my first cartomizer tonight. :)

Yes, thanks SOOO much for the helpful video! I tried doing one last night right after watching the vid and it worked perfectly!
One question: some have mentioned refilling through the hole in the battery end, how well does that work? The hole seems kinda small... Can you stick maybe an 18 or 20 guage needle with syringe through the hole and refill like that?

Maybe you could, but the whole point of opening up the cart is to re-center the atty, if it needs it, and to have a visual cue so you don't overfill the carts. Prying the cap off the first time takes the longest - after that I can go from topping off a cart to vaping all day in less that 2 minutes... It really doesn't take that much time or effort once you know what you are doing.
On a side note, I keep all of my rubber O-rings and mouthpieces just in case I break or lose one. The carts will die after a while, but the spare parts do come in handy! ;)

i just tried refilling i started hitting it and got no vapor but i deffinitly got a throat hit i did everything just like the video any suggestions or is it normal

I've had it got back and forth on that. Some of the cartomizers I refill get better vapor right away and others get much better throat hit with almost no vapor for the first few minutes of use. I do them all exactly the same so not sure if there is any special reason for it.

All the carts are hand made. Some are better than others. This is what accounts for the differences.

I'm new at this, but I've found a cork screw on a pocket knife works great for getting the end off. But it wouldn't be any good for the channeling and whatnot:/

This video is exactly what I needed. In looking for something to removed the plastic piece I tried a 'nut pick' those useless ones that come with nutcrackers. I quick bend on the tip of one and straightening another then literally 5 minutes with a file and I have a hooked one for a removal tool and a straight one for centering and poking around. And a nice no-slip handle  Works great!
