When ordering something like German Chocolate Cake, Caramel Macchiato, etc., one might assume that it would automatically be sweet. This is not the case with Tasty Vapor.

Why?

Because to achieve sweetness with your liquids, we have a sucralose-based sweetener. As some individuals would prefer we leave any artificial sweeteners OUT of their liquids, or would prefer to add their own, sweetening liquids is left as an option on the website.

EM (ethyl maltol solution) is not used as a sweetener. EM only enhances some flavors by adding a caramelized/burnt sugar note to the liquids, without adding any sweetness on the palette.

The flavorings are not sweet by default. They are food flavorings and require sweetening to achieve their intended flavor.

Knowing this, please don't expect a liquid to be sweet by default. If you want your liquids to be sweet, choose the "Yes Sweeten" option. If you want it extra sweet, please state this in your shipping comments and we'll be happy to accommodate you.

The liquids are being handled in this manner as a poll was initiated quite some time ago, regarding the use of artificial sweetener. From the poll results, it was decided this was the most accommodating means of dealing with the sweetener "issue".

If you have any questions, please post here. I'll be more than happy to answer them.

I think the reason why I'm lagging on that so much, is the fact that the way the system is set up, I have to add that to every single individual page for nic-liquid, 2 ounce and 4 ounce Doublers. But hey, it's part of the job, it's for everybody's benefit, so I'd better got off my .... and Git Er Done!

We were originally using EM to simulate a sweetness, but it wasn't enough, but we couldn't use any sweetener that would result in a burnt sugar build-up on your atomizers, and a bad reputation for Tasty Vapor. EM is what it is, while it IS in the sugar family, it's use is more to accentuate that spun sugar smell/taste that may be required in a recipe.

It's easier if you consider EM a flavor additive rather than a sweetener.

So if I order some BNB with no sweetener it will be the same BNB that I've always gotten in the past and loved?

If the BNB you purchased has a caramelized sugar flavor without being sweet and that is the BNB you know and loved, then you should remain purchasing it WITHOUT the sweetener.

I like buying the bottle of sweetener Geoff offers and sweetening to my likings best of all, I squirt juice into a 6ML bottle then add only a couple drops to it to sweeten to my likings, then I don't waste a whole 30ML bottle and over sweeten it.

This sounds like good advice and since I have ordered all of my TV juices Not Sweetened I decided to add a bottle of his sweetener to my latest order. First, I was surprised when I first heard about this since all of my TV juices already taste sweet to me. But I am going to try adding 2 drops to a 6ml bottle to see how that changes things. May try up to 4 drops since that would be close to what is recommended on the order page of the sweetener. Do most people sweeten their TV juices?

Also, the bottle of sweetener that I just received has a Lot of particulate in it. Looks like a snow globe when I shake it. Is that normal? Not sure I want all those particles in my juice....

I'm still a bit confused. Many of the items that I've looked at state "Ethyl Maltol is generally used to sweeten liquids to a "certain" degree. However, if you prefer your liquids VERY sweet, we'll be happy to add our sucralose blend sweetener, on request here."

So for something like the Ultimate Vanilla or Chocolate Covered Cherry, if you wanted it to be kind of sweet but not super sweet you would, or wouldn't add sweetener?

Same here. Just ordered some more with my order a few days ago. I find I like to add a little sweet to many juices even if they are already sweet.

When this question was posed by Newme I was wondering the same thing. However, it was never answered so I'll give it a bump.
