Lets see, first true mod I owned was a regulated mod, matter of fact still runs to this day, using it right now.
Second official mod was a mech with a simple vape safe fuse as I was getting into rebuilding protank coils and I needed the ability to pulse coils my SVD could not do without constantly turning it back on.
Third real mod was again another regulated, and MVP 1.0 of all things, after the use and abuse it went through, went to mod heaven, got a MVP 2.0 as my new work mod
Kept further chasing the rabbit down the rebuilding hole, got into dripping for flavor, regulated mods for general usage
Current ratio of mods I own, 7mech to 7 regulated devices
Both have their strengths and weaknesses, mechs are simple, repairable, easy to toy around with, my regulated mods work just as well, and if I want to chuck a cloud I can get just as good a cloud off a mech as I can with my Sig150w as the coils and watts output are equally adjusted for depending on the device powering. Should vapocalypse happen and my regulateds I prefer to use most of the time die, I got enough mechs, rebuildables, and supplies to last through it. All boils down to how you use these devices and all their components properly, each has their use and function, in the end they all keep me off the stinky sticks.
