I would like to get the Reos grand and keep it stock just for the chalice 3-----and woild love to try the 25 dollar model and if I was

not satisfied then I probably would go for a real REOS.

Ps how you finding the magma on yours? I'm tempted to bf mine, and how have you got it set up? I've got a plume veil on mine dual coil at 0.8 ohm and I'm finding it's got plenty of vapour but is a bit lacking in the flavour department

Because it's on the VV grand it's nothing exciting. Single coil, metering at 1.2 ohms. Puts out pretty good for a couple of hours, then have to change the batts out. The flavor is good, but not exceptional since I not burning through juice with a double coil sub ohm build.

If you can get the center pin loose from the positive post block, it takes 2 mins to slot the thing (I did 2 slots on my center pin) and get it back in place. Go for it.

That's good to know that it's that easy on the magma.I hadn't tried on mine because it looked like it would need to be done differently since the post isn't right in the center,so i now i need to convert that one too.

Not my photo, but wanted to show you the insides with the pin pulled out. The pin and positive post are separate pieces. Confusing, but it works out. Slot the pin and reassemble. Bing bang boom

incorrect. Or, partially correct because it is true that there is a spring plate and screw.... Collapsible springs have three layers. There are a few folks on candlepower forum that can explain how a collapsible spring works.

EDIT: Certain parts of the spring are designed to melt faster than the others so the spring retains its integrity (doesn't wear out from use) but still melts down fast if there is a short. The physics of it are outside my reach, but I thought I'd better offer at least the most basic understanding as it was given to me.

Well, I think it probably is since that's what it's called in the General Electric Industrial catalog, Allied Electronics catalog, and the Mouser Electronics catalog. I'm pretty sure that's its name. 3 piece collapsible spring or 3 piece collapsible hot spring. Noteworthy is that some of those have bases and screws, and some don't.

I'm pretty sure that the spring is made from a few different alloys that react to heat differently so when the spring gets too hot it actually pulls into itself and collapses, very similar to how automotive turn signals work, except they return to contact once they cool a bit, that's what makes the turn signal go on/off/on/off, only these springs are made to collapse and stay that way...

Cool thanks.Definitely different than how i assumed it would be,which is a good thing haha.I was expecting a mess,but looks like the magma is next on the modding block haha.

got my clone...it looks and feels pretty good, I don't really like the button to much, but still uncertain if it's the button itself or If it's just been so long before I used a button in that position

but I haven't had a problem with the paint as of yet, the door is fine, it sets in, not super tight but it's not totally easy to move either

I however don't have a bottom feeder atomizer so I threw on an old school cartomizer at 1.7ohm, so it doesn't vape like my .9ohm coils do, still waiting for my atomizer to truly review the mod, I also have haven't had time to take it apart, still might order $10 worth of parts to see if it upgrades anything

Mine is finally out for delivery ! Hopefully my ERA will fit the clone. It's a smaller diameter than the Cyclone. Fingers crossed. I also have a spare positive tab. Also a REO firing button if I don't like the quality from the clone.

The Smokless Owl works pretty good but the button sometimes does not make it fire.
