Neither have i. The problem was it wasnt seated to begin with. Its seems the hole in the base was a tiny bit bigger than the wedge of the post. I noticed it was loose when I turned the screw. I am now filing around the bottom. Hoping I can fix it. If not its only a few bucks. I would have returned it, except I alread modded it for bottom feed and enlarged the air hole.

Yeah I don't like how short the screw/positive pin is in the fatty

Thats on my to do list, was thinking of fitting a center post from another atty.

What is the prob with the negative post on the YK1? I've never removed a negative post from a base.

If I remember the fatty V2 doesn't have much of a center post, pretty much stops at deck level (or am I out to lunch?)

Over on http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/566507-bf-experiment.html we're playing with drilling the insulator (pin in)...maybe worth looking at?...certainly pretty easy to do?...just thinking aloud....

Yeah theres no post. I also was thinking either drilling or cotton a groove. Then I realized I would need a new center pin anyway. I no longer use 32 gauge. And others have said 28 has problems in it. The pin doesn't connect to the mod. Well I use 24 lol. So I would really have a problem. I am trying to find the pitch of the pin screw. So I can buy a longer one. Problem is its a clone, and I'm not sure it's 1:1

Got the Brass Quasar mod into a BF! Works like a champ. Running dual 24g macro coils at .33 ohms with some Koh Gen Do; pure heaven.
Pin came out wothout any trouble, same with inserting the drilled one. Glad to have the extra in original condition in case I ever want to swap it back to a TF.

Nice reo, I've been seriously considering that set up.

Is the quasar center pin ss all the way through? Where did you get your drilled out pin?

Ya, solid SS all the way. Daniel at saltlakevapors.com had it drilled for me. Makes me want a drill press; the rest of the install I did myself , I found it easy and fun; would live to do more bf modding

OKCVapes actually worked out a way to BF the Fatty line by Chris Creations. I cannot speak to the performance but I did come across it before we had LP REOs. If you click the link I believe they have the BF insulators and BF terminal screws. i am unsure to how it works as a setup but I am sure if you email them they can tell you in better detail than I could.

Copper is pretty soft, should be easy.

One would think but it's not...copper is sticky when it comes to machining, it tends to rip more than cut and it clogs up bits flutes in no time...I've given up trying to drill a copper pin to bf an RDA, the 3 times I've tried the bit grabs and snaps...slot it

LR?...do you mean LP?...if you have an LP, the RDA world is pretty much open to you (provided it's a bf RDA or you make it bf)

Sorry, yes I meant LP. I'll edit that. I'm having some fun with it, with the Sofia and even the D-base tank (requires no squonking). :)
