The paint is more like a powder coat. Very smooth to the touch and easy to wipe down if it gets dirty.

I love the leather jacket I made for mine, but it doesn't make a huge difference. Reo is aluminum, so it heats to body temp quick. Just jeep it in your pocket and it'll stay nice and toasty. Just don't lick it if you leave it outside overnight and you'll be fine!

Where in NY are you?

So i bought a 1"x like 10" piece of white stryofoam. outlines my reo's and batteries and hacked away at it. was messy! Covered it in some elmers glue and stuck fabric on it, pushing it down into each hole. it turned out ok. doesn't look SUPER great, kind of like a pillow. but it's working! It's really not picture worthy lol

The hammer tone DOES look nice... Clean aesthetically pleasing, modern...

The copper vein doesn't pop nearly as much as I assumed... Looking at the full copper vein reos it seems a marked difference in color...
Thank you xobeloot!
Decisions decisions...
Like shout I just get the rm2 with my purchase instead of waiting...
Lol the plating looks damn fine with the white/ hammer tone reo...
I've just never been able to get a build that tastes like a pre made atty ( hh357/ vapage slant coil) on any of my rda builds. Could be too high a gauge? (32- I know I know lol) already using rolled cotton from cvs, already( trying, at least), for the micro coil, which is what looks like in my hh357. Maybe it's because I never had ceramic on bottom of an rda before, and it's coloring my flavor profile? Whish I had a build pic to show you but they're disassembled in a drawer now. I just want to buy it and than put it in my vape box never to be seenagain because it lacks what I desire. Should I make a new thread reonauts?

The copper vein looks great in the right light, for about a month, when it then darkens - character i'm told.

Well, i didn't fancy character so i bought one and promptly stripped it down and coated it with polyurethane varnish in the hope i can retain the original finish. I lent it out this weekend but i'll take a pic of it when i get it back tomorrow.

As for your coils - my standard coil is a big fat (macro i suppose) wick with 32g duals on it that reliably clocks in at 1Ω. On an RM2, so buy it! Best atty on a stock Reo that you can buy.

lol! Yeah. I'm practically in Canada. As for the RM2... It is a must in my eyes. For you, maybe just your normal attys. Do what is best for you man. Maybe use your disposables and get a RM2. Build on the RM2, but have a disposable to fall bac on until you get your build right. What Ω are your attys? That will determine what wire you should start with.

1.5. Both on the hh and the slant coils...

Pm sent to Rob.

( posted this Ina new thread but figured I'd post here too)
Ok so... Looks like I have a shopping list-
Reo grand- white/ hammer tone door
Rm2
White Delrin drip tip
White soft ( silicone) drip tip
Kanthan wire( for 1.5 ohm micro. should I get the 28 ga? Only have the 32 right now. If any of the micro could builders could chime in that would be awesome :)

Thanks from a (soon to be) reonaut,
Tim

see the other thread ;)

The sad truth is that unless you are half decent at making your own coils - reliably and consistently, then you will struggle with anything, not just an RM2.

Some talented guys like Xobe and Dibby, Mundy et al, can pretty much take a bit of tinsel from your Xmas tree and vape it, but that's not how it is for mere mortals.

Best advice i can give you to achieve that consistency is to copy super-X - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/389074-micro-coil-rba-your-reo.html

Looks like I have further study to do... Supertrunker that is the thread that started me on micro coils... Before I saw the one outside the reo forum... Lol... Guess I've been lurking here longer than I thought. I can get the ohm pretty consistently... But I guess because of the higher gauge that ohm would be 1.8- 2 ohms lol

i'm pleased to see he has finally published a handy reference chart based on the ID of the coil. Since mine are 6 times that size i have concluded i am either greedy or i like my juice - or both.

nano coils!! give me a break! what next? scanning electron microscope coils?

I just did my first build on my first REO last week, so I'm a n00b at coil building. I bought 28g Kanthal with my REO, 6 wraps gets me at .8 (sometimes .9 ohm), and 7 wraps gets me 1.0 ohms on the money every time. Not sure if that helps your decision lol.
