Awesome thread! I love the photos.

I understand that the "gold" color was changed from anodized to a powder-coated finish. Does anyone have well-illuminated photos of these side-by-side? Just wanted to get a better idea on how that looks.

The mini in the middle has a raw tumbled door. I got it as blem. It had a small hammer mark by the edge. I sanded it out then polished the door.

In my favorite German forum we wondered why Rob didn't offer the anodized green anymore. Later I've found out that nobody believed my tall tale of the patent wars because color-wise the photo of the Reo in the image below doesn't come close to the real one.

Anyway, I don't bother since I'm more into the tropical green Reo. Great color.

Another thing… one another user wanted to know what a golden Reo would look like. Here's the Reo from my friend C3PO:

That gold Reo is beautiful, you just gave me an idea, I have a raw aluminium Reo mini, and a friend who is an excellent custom spray painter...

I have been fascinated by the strong Reo ownership of Germans and Italians, who also make great motorcycles, amongst other things. I have wondered if it is partially due to an appreciation for non-complex devices that work well, which is often difficult to achieve.
