The State of Confusion
Hey REOville!

Every day above ground is a good day, remember that!
I Hope everyone is well, just wanted to stop by for a second and try catching up.

Busy around these parts lately, I don't usually like to tell personal info, but I have been going through a bit of a colon cancer scare, they removed a large polyp, had a CT and now will have an MRI soon, so we will see what they say after that. I will have to have another Rectal rooter visit (Colonoscopy) in a year as this time they had to rush the procedure and were not able to complete the study due to my airway failing. Yep I couldn't be an easy case; I had to scare the hell out of the anesthesiologist. I tell ya these kinds of things get the old brain working pretty hard, concern for your wellbeing, your family and the overall stress that comes with it, but you know what? I don't quit that easily, I have always been known as head strong (yep that's right...stubborn .......) and I will not let this interfere with the life I have been given. Well, then again, I guess it has changed things a bit.

I am suddenly extremely aware of the fact that I need to show my loving wife just how much she means to me every second of every day, make certain that my children are shown more love than they have been throughout their lives, spend more time with my Mother and brother, lose some weight, finish fixing that damned motorcycle and ride it as often as humanly possible, get off the couch and spend more time in the outdoors on this glorious planet. I am now keenly aware that the stress causing things in life are not what matters, those near and dear to us are what matters and each moment we don't tell them or go out of our way to show them is time lost. I intend for that to happen no longer! So even if there is no cancer I guess this change is welcome, but I can think of better ways to make the point.

Sorry to spill my guts folks, just needed to see this in writing I guess. I thought that this wonderful group would understand.

Thanks,

Treekiller

Sometimes it takes and Epiphany to wake us up from "just living out our lives".....

Peeking in from work here...shhhhhh

Good Morning !

Being a Senior IT Engineer for a Global company I find it a necessity to maintain internet connectivity to various technical forums and web sites as our on going support effort to our staff.

Included are ECF, Youtube, and of course Phtobucket, and giphy.com! :thumb: LOL!

Tree, sorry to hear about your troubles. It sounds like you are doing the best of a bad situation. When it comes down to it, our loved ones matter the most. Not our trophies, jobs, toys, nothing. Living each day like it might be your last, is to be commended. Our loved ones are like precious flowers. We can't forget to sweet talk them, water them, and put time in with them, and expect them to bloom all on their own.

Your right so it would be easier to just ban guns than have to try and make them unavailable to every person that would use them to unlawfully kill someone.

I'm not sure I understand your reply, or I'm still asleep from my beauty nap?

I think you're agreeing with the ideology that people kill people, and that banning guns from law abiding citizens makes about as much sense as banning all you can eat buffets, large fountain drink (well NYC did that), spoons from our dining utensils, etc.

If one looks at so many of the comments of our founding fathers, George Washington specifically, he said this:

I thank you all for the kind words.
This group is inspiring, funny and overall the greatest collection of caring individuals I have ever run into. I am truly proud to be a part of it and thank you all so much for allowing me and so many others to feel at home here. Must be the Magical Porky dust! I am frequently astounded by the caring this group shows and hope that I can spread this just as you all do.

On a different subject...if you don't smile I'll be forced to tell you of the fictionalized short story "Aftermath of Colonoscopy", a story about a guy that got a colonoscopy and the shopping trip and dinner in public afterward. It ends with a "happy note", sure to bring a tear to your eye.

Im thinking its hard to get killed by a gun if there are no guns.
Theres a large difference between the amount of stories I read from the USA or anywhere about people using guns to save themselves compared to people being killed by guns.
