It also could be a mashed button. More common than one would think. When a button is repeatedly mashed, it can damage the firing pin or battery contact....bending it and in some cases breaking it. Many of us are guilty of mashing the button because we "think" it needs to be because the button isn't clicky and it looks so tall. If you think this might be the case....where you think you have to press hard to get it to work when you get your mod back from Rob....then try holding the mod by your ear and gently press the button until you hear the atty fire. You'll see that it doesn't take much pressure at all. If you do, in fact, have to mash the button, then there is something wrong and Rob needs to be contacted. I hope this made some sense.
Makes perfect sense RF! I was a button masher my first few days until I figured that out, but I obsessively hold it up to my ear! Haha. I def think it's the pin that's gone bad.
