replacing cigarettes with vape

I had not planned to quit smoking when I bought my iMist.
I just decided I would see if vaping was a cheaper way of smoking. I spent the same as I would on 10 days of smoking, and would see how I felt after 10 days!!
I spent about a week with far too much nicotine in my body but slowly found a way to match my previous smoking habit into this new vaping thing! ;)

After 2 weeks, I felt very comfortable vaping, and its the new me!

To everyone else, you have given up smoking, to you its just another way to get your nicotine fix!

If you want advice - get a big battery - 900 mah or more, so that you can vape all day if you want to. The one thing I found difficult was that a flat battery is worse than running out of cigarettes! ;)

*snip*

lol I've heard "vape your face off", "vape your head off", and "vape, vape, and vape some more. Rinse and repeat"...but I've never heard "vape your eyeballs out". Guess I can add that one to the list.

Heh. Glad I could entertain. Look at it this way ... vapor is basically like steam yeah? Steam increases pressure. So yeah, pop goes the eyeballs. :vapor:

I agree that 24mg is the best level to start with for a pack or more a day smoker. I was 2PAD and more on a bad day.

24mg will assure you that you get enough nic. We only get about 30% of the nic that we got from tobacco, so we vape more often to get what we need. If you find later that you need less nic, you can order an equal quantity of the same juice, but at 12mg, mix the two and you have 18mg juice. In equal quantities, you can add the nic levels and divide by two fro the result.

I think I messed up because when I ordered my juice I got nicotine free, I think I should order more. I also only ordered one 30ml bottle of juice because I figured that would be enough to get me started.
just order a higher nic content and mix them together to bring it down.i'm different from most,i vape at 36mg.

The key to quitting is just vaping and letting the new nic source take your mind off the cigs. You'll find, as many have posted, that most of the cigarettes go away in the first week. I wouldn't worry if you still smoke one after a meal or with coffee for a while. It helps you to taper off to whatever level vaping is supplying.

I've been vaping for over 2 years and quit all but the after meal and coffee cigarettes the first week I vaped. I hung on those last few until about a month and a half ago. In the back of my mind, I thought I'd go through some kind of withdrawal if I stopped completely. Wrong! I decided one day to stop and nothing happened! I'd just have a vape when one of those habit triggers popped up in my mind and told me, "You really ought to walk over and have a cigarette out of that pack!" (my wife hasn't embraced vaping and keeps her pack available). I'd just remind myself that I don't do that anymore and have a vape. It was a piece of cake and I feel much better being able to tell people that my ecig took away all my smokes.

I truly don't miss smoking as long as I can vape. And, I was a hardcore smoker for 40 years or more.

I smoked 1 1/2-2 packs a day ... the 18mg was waaay too high for me at first. Had to go with 11mg then work up to 18mg for the throat hit I wanted. Everyone is different.

:::::I cant see how ANYONE uses over 18mg nic level. 36 would probably put me hooving over the trash can after 2-3 hits.
I would try 18mg first though ... its a good, mid road level IMO

From what I know nic does not affect flavor, but it has a lot to do with throat hit, which is why I usually vape at 18mg nic, the more nic in the juice the more throat hit you will experience. PG helps maintain what the flavor and nicotine bring to the vape and VG tends to mute or smooth over both, but will provide more vapor.

Thx! Looks like what I prob need is a higher throat hit! Let me order some new liquids to try them out!

I was a two pack a day girl. Been smoking for at least 20 years. I started out with 18mg but was still smoking a few analogs a day. I made my next order for 24mg which was enough for me to put down the smokes altogether. Haven't smoked in three weeks now. There's still times I want one, like today when my eGo-T pass thru has stopped working and I'm waiting for a variable volt to be delivered but I point blank refuse to go back to analogs.

Good luck with your ecig journey. You won't regret it.
