Reporting of membership stats?

I new to the vaping scene and the ECF. I crunch numbers for a living. I noticed that there are no "fun stats" about ECF membership such as:
1) membership growth over time
2) membership by age and sex
3) membership by geography (e.g., by state and country)
4) site usage by time of day or day of week
5) etc.

Seems like people would find this interesting. Maybe a quarterly or annual report or something posted to the Info Zone under the About ECF section.

Sounds like information you would use to sell ad space.

I do reporting and analytics for a living, in my spare time...not so much.

yes I guess the true money men have no morals. its just sad that is what it all comes down to. not our happiness or our health just money . I some times slip into la la land and forget lol

I know the "membership over time" numbers were posted not to terribly long ago. I think it was Sarge back when he was announcing that we were nearing some big milestone in number of members or something

From time to time we do share some stats but for the most part our stats consist of number of users, active users etc. We don't break it down by location sex or age.

Online advertising is so unbelievably good these days. Everything you do is tracked, unless you take steps to surf anonymously. I'm in the business, honestly you can't believe the details you can get. I can't see how any of that data would help advertisers on this forum- you really couldn't target any more accurately than they already are.

As an example, let's say you go to a vendor and add some items to your cart, but don't checkout. Most of these vendors are using pre-built e-commerce shops like Volusion, Big Commerce, etc.. and most of these allow the merchant to deliver ads to you AFTER you leave their site, to entice you to return and complete the transaction. This ad space is sold through Google and many, many others; some of whom have incredibly detailed targeting.

Yeah, it's kind of scary but think about how many billions of page hits there are each minute.

I would like to see polls though- would be very good to rate vendors, gear, etc. Probably tough to keep vendors from inflating their own scores, but there are enough members here to balance that out.

no worries, it seems nefarious motives are a common accusation with some around here.
