I know. It seem USPS are kinda cavalier in updating locations lately. If your in PA, probably any day now since Halo's in NJ. But I'm in IN and my last First Class shipped order took about a week. I learned my lesson that if you need it quick, pony up the extra $3 or so for Priority.

Yep, that's what happened. USPS just not updating their details. Just checked tracking and it's out for delivery even though they also say the package was never accepted. Halo comes through as always!

The post office takes however long they feel like taking. If you're in Oregon and the shipper is in New Jersey, chances are pretty good it's going to take quite a long time. If you need it fast, you should get 3 day, next day, etc.

If you're in New York and the shipper is in New Jersey, express shipping is a waste of money as it'll get there in 2-3 days. Unless you need it next day.

Yeah, I've always opted for priority and have had consistently reliable service, but as I am in CT, and it ships from NJ, this time I am trying the cheaper first class shipping...but if it takes a week, I'll pay the extra 3 bucks...I hate waiting...

I ordered yesterday and got shipping confirmation this morning, so we'll see.

I lived in Westchester county NY and Stamford, CT for 8 years before moving back home to Albany. You're lucky, you've got Whole Foods Market. I miss that more than anything else.

I paid for priority on my 2nd shipment, placed the order and got the shipping confirmation on Thursday. Only yesterday did I really read the details on the shipping email, looks like they shipped it first class. :censored: Not cool.

Sometimes mistakes happen. The customer service folks at Halo are awesome, so just contact them and tell them what happened. They can check all the info and fix anything that may have gone wrong on their end. The shipping method is noted on both the order confirmation email, and again on the shipping confirmation email, and again on the USPS tracking info. So it should be easy to figure out where things went wrong.

Yeah, the order email says Priority while the shipping confirmation email says First Class. I sent an email as soon as I discovered the issue yesterday, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

USPS's tracking is the worst in the business.
I think your partially correct, I get USPS packages from all over with usually get good tracking. Not so with HALO through POMPTON PLAINS and it's NJ sort location. My last three orders were bungled by those locations! One was marked Out For Delivery in NJ and showed up the NEXT DAY in Vegas. My current order I made early AM Fri 5/17 on Sat is showed Electronic Info received (we all know what that means now, label printed) no other tracking, no acceptance, sorting etc. until it hit Vegas and magically showed up today MON!!!! I think HALO has to have a talk with the NJ Postmaster, they don't seem to be matching the rest of the country regarding tracking. Course I can't complain about delivery this time Order Fri, receive in Vegas on Mon, for first class delivery is great.

It's not just the Pompton Plains, NJ post office. I've had similar incidents with stuff coming from different places. They're very inconsistent with tracking. Sometimes they're right on top of it, other times they're not. As far Pompton Plains goes, that wasn't the only sort facility that saw that package. I don't know USPS's system, but when I worked at UPS, every package got scanned on its way in and out. Came in on a tractor trailer, got scanned before it hit the sort isle; went into the trailer I loaded, got scanned before it was loaded; went into a brown delivery truck, it was scanned. Basically, every doorway it went through, there was a guy with a scan gun. For it to say electronic info received in NJ and then nothing until its on your porch means a lot of people in a lot of facilities didn't do their job. Or that USPS's computers are antiquated.

As far as talking with the postmaster, they're just as open to suggestions and criticism as the DMV is. Ever argue with the DMV? Talk about an exercise in futility.

Aside from tracking, USPS is as good at delivering as anyone else. They get stuff where it needs to be in a timely fashion as good as anyone else.

I placed an order at 10am Thursday. Got to my door at 1pm Saturday. No sitting on my package, although I'd love for someone to sit on my package for 3 days.

As far as tracking goes, there was no info on the website until today (Saturday). It said info received, then miraculously arrived at the Albany post office. I guess Halo drove it 3.5 hours from Pompton Plains, NJ to Albany, NY.

Did I mention that USPS's tracking is the worst in the business but their delivery time is average to very good depending on their mood?
