I got my Tornado kit this past Monday from TW, and while everything worked, one of my batts looked as though it'd been dropped on pavement on its end. The silver tip where the logo is was slightly bent, and scratched/pitted. It worked, but I contacted TW anyway and told them about it. Three days later, I had a brand new battery with a return envelope included. I was fairly satisfied.

That said, the lack of QC that allowed such a thing to happen in the first place is what concerns me. I mean, it seems to me that somebody must know what's up, and I can't help but think they're tossing some used batts into their kits to cut a few corners, not to mention the problems people have with buying spare batteries.

At any rate, I'm happy with my TW Tornado, but I don't think I'll be buying from them again. Cignot will be carrying eGo batteries soon enough, so if I need a spare, I know where I'll order from. It's just a matter of good business practices/policies in the first place.

Don't take this as a defense for TW, but it astounds me that people think they're deliberately putting bad batteries in kits on purpose. They order from the same Chinese manufacturer as everyone else carrying the same product. So the lack of QC is a manufacturer problem.

They aren't a big operation, at least in the states, and I suspect that is true too for England. The effort to go through pre-packaged kits and pre-packed quantity boxes doesn't seem likely.

I know of plenty of small operations that gladly take back QC problems and replace them for customers. DOA should be taken care of (customers should send it back and then get a replacement from a company... period). 48 hours isn't unreasonable. If they won't do it, I don't go back and tell everyone.

That is how you gain customers, not just a sale.

correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there a consumer law out there that states if a product is not fit for purpose at the time of purchase, the seller has to refund or replace? surely receiving 2 faulty batteries would fall under that, not sure how they expect to get away with it.

but the fact that they don't give warranty on their multipacks is exactly why i haven't ordered any from them. i got a 5 pack of attys from liberty flights instead, and it worked out a bit cheaper too

I had a problem with a madvapes.com atomizer. It died after a few vapes. I sent them an email and let them know what happened and asked where I should send the broken one back to. They said no worries and sent me a new one.
I had it the same week as my original order. THATS how customer service should be when it comes to DOA or things dying too quickly. If it was a larger item Im sure they would expect it back. Even with an atty I was more then willing to send it back but didn't have to. Madvapes and vaporkings are the only places I shop for hardware currently. Can't vape right now tho.

Shing Wit- I agree 100%. I think suppliers will lose customers with bad service. I will definitely do my business with companies that take care of their customers. In the long run they are only hurting themselves by doing some of these things. Under Ebay and Pay Pal one of the reason for a chargeback is you received products that did not work.

I ordered batteries from an ebay seller and never received them after 35 days. I emailed them with no success. Their site said my order was still being processed. They said it had been mailed. I filed a dispute with pay pal. I hate having to do this but if you don't receive what you ordered and they say it was shipped what else can you do.

The better your service is the more customers you will have. People can read one complaint against a company and it spreads like wild fire on ECF.

Bad Business Practice.....

As usual expect nothing less than me being completely BLUNT on this whole TW issue.....Some will agree and some will disagree..... So here goes....

I personally have Placed a few orders with TW in the past....Although i didn't experience the same issues that some are having like wrong packaging or international charging.....

What i did experience is Bad Business Practice....

Let me explain....I ordered 3 times from TW and every single time i have received a horrible order and horrific Customer Service.....

My orders were for Atty's only.... Since TW offered the 5 pack special on there attys that is what i ordered....

My first order....5 pack special of the 510 attys.....
Out of 5 atty's 2 were DOA....I called the 800 # and i did talk with a live representative.....But i was informed that since it's the 5 pack deal there is no warranty on the atty's.....But the Customer Service rep wasn't really nice about it....Kind of had an attitude....So i excepted it.... And Moved on.....

Second Order....I should have learned my lesson the first time right? Wrong... Stupid me!!! I figured I'll give TW one more shot why not.....
Second order another 5 Pack special Deal.....Out of the 5 atty's ordered 1 atty was DOA....Another Phone Call was Made By me.....Same thing Phone answered but CS wasn't so friendly....

So now I'm wondering..... Twice i ordered and twice i got DOA atty's what gives? So i started to read the forums a little more about TW and came across a bunch of the same type of Complaints as Mine....DOA atty's....

So this time i said.... I'm going to order one last time Just to satisfy my curiosity... Is it really possible that TW is doing this on purpose?
So i placed my order with TW for two 5 Pack specials....And to No surprise once again out of 10 attys ordered only 8 worked this time around.....So at this point i was furious..... So i called them got a hold of someone again told them my whole story But to no avail they still said sorry but no can do....Do to our 5 pack special policy.....Even though i stated to them that every time i have placed an order with them i got DOA attys.... The CS didn't seem to care about that at all...They did how ever recommend i buy atty's individually and not in a 5 pack.....

Since i read the whole Thread before i made this Post... Unlike some posters.....I read someone saying TW is not doing this on purpose i have to disagree with that......

I believe they are doing this on propose....Here is my theory.....
For some reason no matter how many times an ECF member has been told NOT to order from a particular supplier....They still do....I guess it's just human nature to find out on your own....So as long as we, as customers keep placing our orders with TW.....TW will keep putting bad atty's in....because we let them....We as Consumers keep buying from them if it's not atty's it's the Juice if it's not the juice it's the Tornado etc, etc... The point being here is, we keep them in business....That's right we keep them in business.....You guys have to remember one thing, if it wasn't for us Consumers a business would not survive...

Here is my analogy.....
1000 people orders a 5 pack special...Now let's keep in mind that the atty cost's the supplier a lot less then we as consumers pay.... The mark up on those things is tremendous....So if TW screws at least 5 out of 10 consumers out of just one atty Lets do the Math here....

The math is on a 1000 customers.... And TW screwing 5 out of 10....
5 pack special deal $34.99 $34.99/5= $6.98 So if they only screw 5 out of 10 people... Then that means they screwed 500 people....So that means they are pocketing $6.98 per costumer $6.98*500= $3490.00 But that's 1 bad atty in a 5 pack....How many of you have gotten 2 bad atty's out a 5 pack? Then the # doubles $3490*2= $6980.00 Not bad for a months worth of work.....

$3490.00 Dollars People, is a lot of money these days.....And that's only if One atty is bad out of a 5 Pack in 5 out 10 orders.....I'm not mentioning if TW does this to every single order Just 1 in 2....Nor am i mentioning the Tornado 5 pack batts that are being reported all over ECF.....Or any other products here at all......

In conclusion..... It's not Just TW bad practices a lot of retailers adopt this method....We as Consumers Just excepted it is all......WE should stand up for our self's and say Enough in Enough.

This is Just My Personnel opinion on the whole TW issue:)

I agree redrhino.. it is highly suspect. It's either them, or it's Joye doing it initially, but you can be sure TW knows about it.. obviously since they're being so resistant in doing anything about it. Having a no DOA policy is just wrong. I haven't had any issues with them personally, but I'm choosing not to give them any more of my business unless they shape up and make things right.

I bought my wife and I's 510 starter kits from vaportalkstore, one of the kits had a dead battery that would not charge. I opened a ticket with them and they sent 2 replacements out even before I shipped the dead one back.

A few weeks later, I had a battery that came with my Tornado that went dead after 3 days of use, and tried to get a replacement from TW. They said they would not ship a new one until they receive the dead one and were able to "test" it. Sent it back and didn't ever get a replacement.

I will never do business with them again.

I have ordered from TW on numerous occasions and never had a problem with them but I tell you one thing after this I will never order from them again.

They just don't realize how bad customers reviews affects their business.

I think we need to start a review section rating them with 1-5 stars out beside each supplier.

While its time consuming and can cost more than the purchase amount, in most locals one can sue an out of area firm in small claims court on the basis that the company is doing business in the county by shipping into and advertising in the municipality.

This tactic got me a very friendly phone call from a vice president and a replacement cooktop after GE customer service told me how sorry they were that since I was in Hawaii they couldn't help me as they would a customer in the US.

My only regret is that I wasn't able to see a Hawaii judge's reaction to GE's opinion that Hawaii isn't part of the United States:-x

I have no reason to order anything from TW but I've referred a couple people to them. Guess I'll put a stop to that. I've read a bunch of posts from people that get burned on the DOA 5 pack atomizers.
More people that have been robbed by this company need to contact the FL Attorney General. Contact him through his website. Florida Attorney General - Home Page
I believe the actual company name in the US is Pillbox38. Here's their BBB page where they're ranked at a C-. Pillbox38 | Better Business Bureau Review | Bradenton, FL
Might as well file a complaint with the BBB as well.
