Has anyone else noticed a change in the quality of the Riva chargers. It seems the newer ones die really fast and don't charge fully. They get warm and have have a funky burn smell. I've been babying my original chargers from last Nov or so since they are still working solid but some of my older batts have connection problems(center pin) with them so its hard to charge my oldies.

It doesn't usually seem to be the wire when I have problems - it's the plug. I have had similar problems with many of those plugs for other sorts of chargers that take a USB->wall plug adapter. It appears to be extremely easy to fry them. You may want to use the newer wires on the old adapters if they connect to your batteries better, and see if that works.

I have two chargers sent back to you guys right now (working with Jacob). Both chargers are less than 2 months old (one is less than 2 weeks). Have 4 Riva batteries, and 2 are sent back with the chargers due to them not charging anymore. I am currently using a 510 charger from a disposable e cig, and it's working fine, though SLOW. Hopefully this can be fixed!

Mine started with the LED not functioning after a few charges, then the batteries started dying. I was using a powered USB hub (same one that I'm using to charge with the current 510 charger, and have had no problems in 4 months with that one and 'disposable' 510 batts)

I have two eGo fast USB chargers, one slow 510 charger, and a wall wart. Never had a problem.

Maybe eGo chargers are better quality?

That said, chargers need to be cleaned. I clean mine with a q-tip dipped in Isopropyl alcohol at least once a month. I also clean battery threads. They need to be clean to take charge properly.

yep... like anything, keep it clean.

other than that... im sorry about the trouble on these. only a few cases... but still, i dont like it.

though... we have been ordering a lot more of these, which helps to drive the cost down. I'll check some numbers, and maybe we can drop the price a bit.

The Joye brand are hard to come by right now. And anything Joyetech will always cost more :/
