Ahhh, I see were you are coming from. I guess I was getting hung up on the message in the OP that was briefly posted on their website and in the e-mail the words "sudden and more strict inspections"...

...many packages were refused by the China customs with inexplainable reasons. We will resend the returned packages with new tracking numbers but we are not able to guarantee the package can get through the China customs.

Let's hope all they mean is a delay for some "other" unrelated issue (e.g. strict inspections just slowing down the process or strict inspections that will end in a few days).

Timing of things, it sure sounds like mine was one of those packages. Hope this gets cleared up and they hurry up and re-send. I noticed they haven't even tried to send my Sunday order leading me to believe they are waiting a few days for these "strict inspections" to end...

It doesn't sound like there is a problem getting stuff through, but rather that customs in China may take extra time to process and send orders. I don't think we need to panic, not over this anyway! Personally I'm in "Wait and See" mode. A rule of thumb I use with ANY online order, foreign or domestic, is "Don't spend more than you can lose". It's served me well in a few cases where I've been ripped off - NONE of them have been e-cigs or related products though.

That's odd. I just made three orders with them a few days ago, and none of my correspondence has any mention of it.

Hmm, I have to admit, I missed that part about some orders actually being returned to them.. Lets hope youre right and they were returned for some sort of clerical error and not because of what they contained.

I believe this was today. Your order was a few days ago. I did not see or get this message either and I placed an order about 17 hours ago.

Thank you for pulling (crosing your fingers) for those that do have orders out there. Funny how some seem to just be braging that they were lucky and just got theirs before all of this. I know that isn't the case, but fairly self centered responses nonetheless.

Im crossing my fingers for myself as well, hehe.. I was planning on making an order tomorrow, which I still plan on doing, so I guess we'll see for sure what the deal is in a couple days. =)

It may make us worry a little but, RuyanDirect is telling it customers what is going on so they know kind of what to expect. I appreciate sellers keep me informed. It probably is one of those Chinese things and happens from time to time. All countrys have their things they like to do, to keep everyone on there toes.

Who would have thunk that Chinese customs would be a problem...

Wondering if I should just ask for a refund before they try to ship or try to ship again especially with eastmall since they state they will re-ship ONCE free of charge. I really don't have to have any of the stuff I ordered (but I was looking forward to that "bling" cigar and some extra SLB atty's for my Janty Stick). I would think that eastmall's policy would only apply to US customs, but who knows. If their Government is the issue they should certainly refund regardless of how many times they try to ship. Makes you wonder why their Government would care about what they export. This one is interesting, but hopefully just a delay...

I do appreciate RD keeping us informed and offering a refund for those that do not want to wait.

I'll probably send them and eastmall an e-mail to see if they tell me anything else and/or discuss a refund...

I placed my order with them on 6/1 and haven't received it but also haven't received any e-mails about China customs. Thankfully, the tracking said that it's made it out of China (last update is Inbound Out of Customs, June 07, 2009, 5:47 am). I expect to receive it tomorrow (more fingers crossed).

Yip, you should be fine. The issue we are discussing in this thread is China customs and yours made it out of China just in the nick of time :thumb:

The message and the e-mails from RD regarding China customs just started this morning. We shall see soon if this is going to be a real problem or just a delay...

I ordered a bunch of prefilled carts late Thursday night, and when the payment went through I got a page saying it was already the weekend in China, that my order wouldn't be shipped until Monday. At 2:15 am this morning I got the shipping notice from RD, no mention of any customs issues. Later this morning I went to check their site and saw the big red notice. Still don't have anything showing up for that shipping number on the EMS site. I'm a little worried, but hoping the optimists are right.

Refused by CN customs. Resending(7days). If can't wait,inform us,get full refund

What was your order for? Did it include juice or just parts? Ive got to say, Im still skeptical that these orders are getting rejected because of whats in them.

EDIT:

I guess I should elaborate a bit on why I am skeptical. These shipments are being stopped before they even leave the country, which just does not make sense, if you believe they are being stopped for what they contain that is. Rather, I think what is more believable is that they are being stopped before leaving the country because of How they are being sent. IE, some sort of clerical error, or error in the way they are trying to ship them. If they were being stopped because of What is in them, we would be hearing a lot more about this and from more than just one source. Just my opinion though and its tough to say for sure, with info coming from only one source.
