5-6w. Damn you're old.
And don't forget lazy too! LOL! Effin T-odd!LOL!
@ian.c from steam engine with the params you gave you're only drawing between 1.4 to 1.9 amps which IMHO shouldn't be heating up your device! If you haven't already, check the temp of your atty at it's base. You may be getting some radiant heat issues when chain vaping! Remember this opinion comes from only a year of vaping & once I got off my eGo's & Aerotank I've never vaped above 1 OHM since! So I'm sure there are errors in my thinking! @crxess anything I missed?:headbang:

I would suggest, if with-in 30 days of purchase - Contact Seller and explain - at low wattage, unit overheats - stops firing.
Include - BATTERIES Not getting Warm, and ask about Replacement.
*Do not mention Heavy Chain Vaping*

Is sounds as though you may have a wiring problem causing heavy resistance at the board. This would drive board temp up.

*While Atty's get warm under use and radiate some heat. Low wattage use and Vertical placement would minimize.

Whoa ian.c!!! I bought two RX200 back in January and I usually only vape at 10 watts and both of mine were getting pretty hot. Which is pretty strange for a 200 watt mod. So I started to vape them at 40 watts and they ran cooler. I thought that was really odd. One had firmware v1.07 and the other v1.08. But when I upgraded them to v3.00, no heat whatsoever.

over the weekend got a shot of a aspire triton off my pal with a 0.5 coil and set it at 25 watts and it still getting hot. i think the heat from the tank is heating it up quicker but then again im not having as many puffs on it and it still hitting tempretures of 60+degrees c after a couple of hours and now i got the wife naggin about the living room being full of smoke, and been banned to the doorstep. not had any reply from another email sent to wismec but think they will use the excuse that the saftey protocol of the 70 degree c cutout is working its down to how im using it.

I came home from fishing , took the aspire batteries from the d4 charger...put them into my rx200...screwed on the uwell crown and at 50 watts on the 3rd puff the rx200 screen said atomizer low so i screwed on the herakles plus at the same 50 watts....as i fired it the rx 200 said device too hot.....the tank was cold ! On the next fire the screen went dead and the device stopped working....i have only had this device for 7 days....very disapointing.

Sounds like your Crown had a short or you have a problem with the spring loaded 510 pin (that is what atomizer low means). And the board got hot (that what that too hot error means). Then it turns off until the board cools down. My two RX200 used to get warm (never got an error) with firmware 1.07 and 1.08. But they have been running very cool with v3.00.

Mine used to get warm and it came with the firmware 3.0 already installed.
Unfortunately for me they didnt do the protective coating on the front panel by the screen and the back plate. So within a month the paint is cracked to ..... the shop i bought it off of basically told me that its not a performance issue or a major default so we cant exchange it. I was .......

Mine just did the same thing. Ist the atomizer low message I removed the tank, checked the 510 connection (no problem) put on a different tank and then got the message device too hot. Since the mod had been sitting unused for most of the day and both tanks were cool... nothing was too hot... I took the batteries out and installed my 2nd set and same thing, then the device shut down completely. I have the newest update installed but I have noticed over the past couple of days the board staying a bit warm... lucky for me it is still under the 30 day warranty from VapeNW. I filled out the form and emailed the required pictures, I hope to hear from them soon so I can get this replaced. I was loving this mod.
