Ok I received my atom. Trying to figure it out, have a couple of questions. I put some 60% pg, 40% VG juice in there to start, I primed it with a few drops, burned them off and did it again. Now I am vaping it. Coming off as a really strong throat hit, even dialing it down in volts to where it isn't really getting the wire red and I am not getting a lot of vapor, is still making me cough.
How long does it take to break a wick in?
Is there a way to make the draw more airy or less tight? If not, cool, just curious.

If you are getting more throat hit and little vapor then the wick is being over wicked.Pinch the very top of the wick closed and that will help regulate the over wicking.I do believe I used 325 mesh on your wick and you are using a higher pg ratio to vg and the 325 mesh will wick the heck out of that ratio. So just pinch the top of the wick closed and try that. Its what the majority of the experts say to do.

Far as the air hole being lined up from the wick,I see no difference if its not.I get just the same amount of vapor without it lined up as I do with it lined up.Tried, tested, and true lol.

On both the rebuildable atty and the genesis I currently own, if that hole is not lined up I am choking and in tears. All TH and no vapor. Interested to see how my Atom will compare. How long between payment and shipment usually? (just curious, makes no difference)

buddy, chopper had revised the cap and, i believe, he said the air hole was no longer necessary. let me think - not sure now but i know the new cap would take all 510 drip tips. he was sure it was an improvement and had offered all with the old-style cap the new one. i had send him a pm taking him up on this offer.
i doubt chopper would call something an improvement that isn't.
have you checked that there isn't a short? the wire should not glow red during regular use.

i'm in the middle of supper so i can't go searching for the post ...... if you guys have no luck, i'll look later ....

Update on the DC and Atom.I'm waiting on some supply to come in that should be here on Friday to make better drip tip caps.I've been testing one and any 510 drip tip fits it perfect. So any orders that go out and you all get before Friday.PM if you would like the new cap.I will walk you through or do a video on how to replace them. Its really easy and simple to do.That will cut down on a lot of time for me as I wont have to drill the holes anymore.

i might have misunderstood. he might have meant drilling the holes for the drip tip ........

Chopper, I think this Mini is getting better by the day, I shall now go back to my recliner and I won't say cuddle with my Mini and wait for my Atom, thank you thank you.

Ahhhh I can't wait to get my mini. Placed order 1 month ago so I am hoping it will show up sometime in the next few weeks. I haven't been following this thread so I do not know the wait time on them. But it is realy not a concern of mine. You have 1 guy making each and every unit....nothing fast about that. Besides I would rather have a unit that functions as it should rather than one that is mass produced and you are at the mercy of QC.

Going to try to start following this thread for updates and hopefully will be able to get to know a few of the regulars here :)

Definately looking forward to getting it but I have no intention on rushing Mr. Chopper. I prefer quality over quanity(mass produced). To be honest I had forgot I even ordered the mini until this morning. I was going through my PP statement and seen the payment so I thought I would check in on this thread.

Way I see it is no matter how long it takes him, it is worth it. If you can even find the other rebuildables you are spending at least twice the amount, and the wait just to see them being offered is unreal.
