Thanks Chopper. Really loving how number 3 looks on the AGA-T. Might have to get one when they get put up on the site. Will the shorty chrome drip tips you have for the AGA-T? If not then I guess I will have to go order drip tips. Sigh.................... ;)

I will not be drilling the AGA-T2 wick hole to 1/8.I have received emails and PM's asking me not to.Some like a smaller wick hole like the 3/32.So unless you ask me to I will not drill the wick holes out anymore.

Will my wick hole be drilled out? Just asking so I know what size wick I will need. Any news on the ceramic wicks?

I don't believe it was drilled out.I talked to the guy on Sunday and he said hopefully this week. Its becoming depressing waiting for them as some have been waiting for a month.I have no control over this and I apologize.

OK well that means I won't have to order more wicks to fit it then. No worries on the wait for the wicks. I realize the are handmade and take time to make.

Hello everyone, I usually just lurk around, but had a question I wanted to ask chopper or anyone else who might give me some insight. I had ordered some atom bombs and ceramic wicks from chopper in the past. I must say those atom bombs still amaze me on the amount of vapor that comes out of that device. I also bought a couple of aga-t's a while back. Here is my question. I really like using 28 gauge kanthal. It is more durable and can vape on it a while before it has to be replaced. My problem is on a wick that does not have alot of diameter, not very fat, I cannot get enough 28 gauge on it to vape. I get a .6,.8 resistance and just get low ohm warnings. I was thinking about drilling the hole on the aga-t so I could get a thicker wick so I might be able to use the 28 gauge. On the atom bombs I guess I would have to do the same. I am having to use 30 gauge on these items at the moment. Anyone have any better suggestions? Or do you know what size I would need to drill them to? I will say also that the dealings I have had with chopper have been a pleasant experience.
Thanks

jfoster, I would try wrapping your coil on a Drill bit first without the wick so you can get the wire as even as possible before you put the wick in. There are several you tubes on doing this. ALOT of people have changed to this method and had great sucess. The thicker the wire the more wraps it takes to increase the ohms. Have you tried 30ga wire? Also Kanthal wire gives a slightly higher ohm per wrap that Nichrome.

Before drilling a larger hole you could try this: some people will roll a dual thickness wick. Measure the length of the above part of the wick. Cut an L shape in your mesh, making the _ part the length of the above part. When you roll it, you'll end up with a wick of dual diameter. Insert the thin part in the hole and remains a thicker part above for you to make a larger (longer) higher resistance coil with 28 AWG.
