I hear that using saline in your liquid mixes helps bring out the flavors, but I also hear that it will help with the dry mouth, throat, sinus issues. Getting flavors that are enhanced would be a very good thing, but I have a lot of trouble with the dry mouth, throat, & sinuses, so if it really does help with that it'd be a Godsend!!! I drink water until I feel waterlogged & still everything up there is dry. So can all you veterans please tell me if adding saline to your mixes really does help in either of these areas? Thanks so much for the help!

I've found that it works well for dessert vapes at around 2%. Beware though, its a coil clogger. I usually have a mix of 90%VG/10%Water (VG nic as well) that I have a tank of at all times just to use as a sort of palette relaxer in between flavor testing. Recently, I decided to exchange the 10% distilled water for 10% saline solution water (the .09% kind). My coils were clogged badly after just 6mLs, whereas usually unflavored juice doesn't clog for weeks.

I trust one of the DIY'ers that swears by both 10% DW and 10% saline ... and more VG (and no sweeteners)...

but so far I've only gone with DW since I haven't taken the time to learn how to make a proper saline with DIY items, nor willing to pay big shipping fees for the right kind pre mixed since I can't find anything in stores here.

10% DW in 100% VG is working out great.

Just go to any drugstore... costs less than 2 dollars.

Depending where you are not all drug stores will sell it to you without a prescription. I haven't found one yet in my state that will. I finally resorted to asking someone I know that worked at a hospital to get some for me. It's a hastle to have to depend on someone all the time to get it for you so Last time I just ordered 6 bottles off the internet.

I dissolved koshering salt in Warm DW. It should refuse to dissolve more once it hits 36% Then mix it 40:1 with DW like 1.5ml of the 36% saline into 60ml of DW to get 0.9%. Though I don't see that it needs to be precisely 0.9. Pickling salt should also be be pure NaCl.

I didn't notice a difference in fruit flavors. It does seem to change chocolate a bit but I can't say improved. I stopped playing with it, didn't notice a difference in cleaning frequency, but If it collects on the coil or the wick near the coil I imagine my usual coffee-machine hot water rinse would clean it out real quick.

I normally use 3% DW and close to 50/50 v/p.
