Not everyone.
I've bought 2 mods in the past 2 years. Total cost for both was less than $140.
I DIY my own juice. Spent slightly over $150 and got enough to make a little over 9,500ml. That's close to a 3 year supply for both me and my wife.
My wife has bought only one mod in the past 2 years, to replace her original one that broke after nearly 2 years of use. Her mod cost $45.
I've bought a total of 5 tanks in the past 2 years. Total cost was about $200, including rebuilding supplies.
So, for both me and my wife we've spent a grand total of about $490 in 2 years on vaping. Unless something breaks we won't spend more than $30 for the next year or more, and that will simply be replacement coils for some of our tanks. That still works out to only $520 for 3 years worth of vaping. That's about what we spent in 2 and a half months of smoking.
Yep I bought a new mod a while back. A Sigeli Zmax. new for $10 and I got 8 18500 batteries for it for under 1$ each. I DIY ALL of my juice. I use Kanger T3's, Evods and Protank 2 minis. I rewick (cotton) and recoil all my coils. They are much better coils than stock Kanger coils.
When I quit smoking in January I was doing at least 4 cartons of cigs a month at 34$ each. I now spend 30$ or less each month and am building my inventory up as I go.
I also have a couple of Itaste VV3's that I paid 9.99 each for and several 650 mah VV evod style batteries that I got for from $3 - $6 each.
My T3's I got for a bit under $3 each. My genuine Evods I got for 1.50 each.
yes vaping CAN be really cheap.
I will likely get an Evic VTC mini before the end of the year and some RTA. Along with a few good 18650 batteries.
I have enough wick, wire, batteries, tanks, flavoring, cotton, etc to last me for another year or so. Will need to get some more PG and VG though.
