Since I have been vaping...I am a chain vapor just as I was a smoker...something is making me sleepy to nausea to numbing feeling. Like when you get a Novocain shot and touch the area it is numb but funky feeling. I do NOT want to go back to 4 pack a day habit but since I was pretty sick from smoking 9 months ago this feels serious too. I use stevia, and DIY to make sure I do not get diecytle or something like that. There has to be more than I that are feeling some weirdness once in awhile. To help we need to be honest...please. I also at times will get cramps and jerks, so I keep up on my fluids. If anyone has encountered anything like this please write.:vapor:

Stop using the DIY and stevia. Ingested stevia can cause those reactions. buy some premade liquid from a reputable place and lower your nicotine.

Good luck!

"Some people who take stevia or stevioside can experience bloating or nausea. Other people have reported feelings of dizziness, muscle pain, and numbness..
1. Bloating or nausea
Some consumers have reported feelings of nausea or mild bloating after using the sweetener. Along with those symptoms, some users experience gas as well.
2. Dizziness
Dizziness has been reported by some stevia users, though it does not appear to last long.
3. Muscle Pain
Some users of the sweetener have reported mild muscle pains after consumption.
4. Numbness
Numbness is another oft-reported side effect of stevia consumption.

I would suggest maybe switch to Ethyl Maltol, the standard sweetener used by Vendors, because it seems like your symptoms are directly related to the Stevia.
If your buying from a reputable Vendor it's highly unlikely they are using Diacetyl. It's found in certain flavors but has largely been removed from the marketplace 2? yrs ago when the Diacetyl alarm was raised.

I ALWAYS recommend new vapers consult with their Dr. regardless of whether or not they are having issues after all it is a major change in our healthstyle.

I did not read all the posts but if there is any same answer sorry for your time. Dont do anything according to your smoking habits I am a chain vaper too but I always dilute my 24mg/ml with VG It is no joke to vape say 6ml a day (I do sometimes more) with 24mg/ml 144mg nic comes to (I dont know really but) something of about 8 packs. decrease your nic level until you crave for smoking and than slightly increase.
I never knew how much I get because since I am a chain vaper I dilute the liquid as my taste (It should be around 6-9 mg/ml) even so when I am through I feel headaches which is a starter to inform me I was getting more nics. So I have a timeout until I crave for vaping

Add tinnitus to the list of stevia possible side-effects... buzzing, ringing, chirping in the ear/ears or head... I've had it.

To OP: Are you using a mixing calculator?.... A reputable one. Are you certain you're using it correctly? Are you measuring really closely... for instance with a clearly graduated syringe you're sure how to read and not drops?

Edit: I just read this and want to add. I don't mean to sound condescending but it really does sound like nic overload which can be very dangerous and you are DIYn. Just trying to help.... no doc here. If nothing else, before you get to a doc, back off nic juice for an hour or so by either not vaping... nor smoking of course as that's still takin in nic... or vape zero nic.... ou have all the supplies to make it... and see if the symptoms go away. I will tell you this I know from living with diabetes, if you affect those nerve endings hard enough for long enough, they will go permanently numb. Its called neuropathy and probably the least damage you could do overloading on nic constantly but its no fun... and if you're having a stevia reaction just worse. I haven't felt my slacks on my lower legs in years and my blood sugars are even under good/tight control. If its that type of "numbness" describing try pulling a feather over the area to see if its surface only or something real light like a nylong scarf or have someone blow on them. If so its skin nerve endings. And pay attention to how long it takes for the skin sensitivity to come back after stopping the nic intake. Monitor yourself closely. The doc will want to know these things. And, BTW, you can get neuropathy from smoking 4 PAD too which you may already be aware of.

Since you are a DIY smoker... perhaps you are overdoing it with the amount of Nicotine... watch it. I´d see a doctor too.

First thing to check is your nicotine level. If you chain vape, you could easily be getting too much nicotine and need to cut back. I had to. And I was a heavy smoker (not 4 PAD but 2 PAD with gusts to 2.5ish if stressed). So I thought I'd need "high" nic. I was wrong. I cut down to as low as 6 to 9mg/ml especially in the evenings (I have a habit of watching a show and vaping damn near non-stop which lead to me not being able to get to sleep until 3 in the am).

Nausea and headaches are common symptoms of too much nicotine. Numbness definitely. There were several times when I was getting started, I'd do something goofy and get juice in my mouth and it was like a Novocain numb kind of thing.

Cut your nic level way, way back. If you're buying premixed, you could get 0 nic versions of the same flavors and mix them to reduce the nic level. You can always work your way gradually back up but if you're getting nausea and such, you want to back off the nic fast. Short of drinking the e-juice, you're not likely to "overdose" or anything but too much nic is just never pleasant. I've done it. It ain't fun.

You may want to read this. Most of your symptoms are talked about here.
