That's why I considered making prototype Scubagens out of delrin and not aluminum, due to concerns about the health factor of AL and the ease of which delrin cuts compared to SS.

Yes it is hard to cut, and I do have a little chatter in my lathe Zen
I would much prefer to do it out of SS, since I will be using it after I am done
Well I did get part #3 done, just need to finish the top and do the electrical parts, dill holes for the wire point etc... Here is a pic:

I am using a 2mmiID x .120OD x .125L nylon insert for the hole.

So the length is about the same, but it is 3/4" OD? I still miss the slimmer version, but I do have a project I messed up with that has 2 3/4" holes running through it. Not to pester you Dan, but would you consider a future run of a slimmer version?

The good thing about doing a prototype out of the planned production material....is you find the flaws in the design that may not show up with a different material..like trying to tap the small holes for screws, or what ever.

I really love my G-Tank but I have heard that compared to "The Line" from Croatian forum that the G-Tank has weaker flavor. They believe this is do to the smaller wick that must be used in the G-Tank. Just wondering you're thoughts on that and if perhaps widening the hole in your opinion would lead to better flavor?

Beyond that....I am so in for one (or 3) of these bad boy US G-Tanks.

I've never had trouble with flavor out of my G-tank.....

Once I got the wick figured out and started making it right, I have plenty of flavor and tons of vapor. And it's the only one I was successful at vaping 5v with....though not for long....

But with my Scubagens, I get everything....and only need to run 3.7....for now..(I shortened my top cap closer to the coil....get more heat)

Same size as G-Tank, the advantage of G-Tank (US) over Line is that it is gravity feed. There is no dry wick unless you run out of juice. As far as taste, I have not tried the lin (yet) but I am sure it is the same as the SGV3, but the wick will go dry it not set up properly, and even so chain vaping will make it run dry and you will have to use the tip method. Not so in G-Tank.

Oh and BTW.... ITS ALIVE!!!! hehehehe and is performing as good as the original!

That's what I've been hoping to hear, a larger capacity G-Tank that works like the original! The only difference that I see in the pictures is the heating chamber is taller on the original. Would that matter?

Anyone have any extra springs from the Scubagen build? I need a few if ya got em.....I'm going to take apart one of mine to build another mini...and got some solder on the spring..(my first build...wasn't very careful)

I have built 8 Scubagens so far...and two more to come. Got it down to an art now though! Six regulars...and two minis...

Love what you are doing here Dan. The G-Tank is really nice but working in such a tight space is a serious pain. Plus it looks good on the ProVari. Kudos!
