How long does each 1.5-2 ohm equivalent wick like this typically last with a 7 to 10ml a day vaper assuming that it is set up properly?
The wire you use depends on the resistance you want. If you are looking for LR somewhere between 1.5-2 ohms, I would suggest using 34g because it takes more wraps to achieve and therefor you are heating a larger area of the wick...
32g is what I use and it only takes 3-5 wraps to get around those ohms, which puts more space between each coil.
I wonder how that wick compares to the Nextel stuff I finally received today. Don't have a link handy for where I heard about it here in the forums. Search for Nextel would probably find it if anyone cares.
Here is the link to the Nextel wick. Find by partnumber
Better heat rating.Ya but is that better heat rating really needed? When the wick is wet with juice, the temp of the wick doesnt go above the rating.
I've had silica burn, never with the ceramic sleeving....
You would be surprised how hot that coil gets.![]()
Sounds great Dan! Just out of curiosity, do you know how much joose it will hold at it's shortest, and at the length you use?
no I actually do not, would have to make the shorty tank and measure how much it will hold. Never measured how much the regular one holds. Will do it, I have time LOL
