What gauge kanthal wire is recommended with the scuba?

The wire you use depends on the resistance you want. If you are looking for LR somewhere between 1.5-2 ohms, I would suggest using 34g because it takes more wraps to achieve and therefor you are heating a larger area of the wick...

32g is what I use and it only takes 3-5 wraps to get around those ohms, which puts more space between each coil.

Where from?

My local supplier sourced it directly from the manufacturer in China....

He didn't want to tell me but I suspect from this company.

Going to try it right now. Here is a picture of what it looks like. It's about ø1mm - looks much bigger in the picture though.

How long does each 1.5-2 ohm equivalent wick like this typically last with a 7 to 10ml a day vaper assuming that it is set up properly?

That is a lot of vaping Led....

I do not know the answer to your question but if you vape about 3 - 4ml a day the wick would last 7 - 10 days. If I double the vaping: 6 - 8ml a day the wick should last half the time I guess - 4 to 5 days. Maybe a bit longer. It depends when you "feel it is done" I guess. The wick and coil would most likely last three or four weeks but it would taste like $h!* I guess....

Ever thought of intravenous nicotine solutions?

Then 32 will be perfect. Space between the coils is what I need. I want to wrap 2 3ohm coils for a total of 1.5ohms.

Ok here is the final vesion of the DSUv6, this is a cutt away view of the internals.
DSUv6_Cuttaway-1.jpg

Purple lines are the pyrex/acrylic/poly/SS tubing, which ever you decide to use.
The purple circles are the o-rings.
The overlapped sections on the bottom pieces are where there will be threading.
Will be sending the files off for a quote.

Ok files have been sent off, now I just have to wait until the quote comes back to see if they are cheaper than emachineshop.com.

BTW the shortest you will be able to make this is 2.4" long, that does not include the length of the electrical connector or the drip tip. Funny that is the same length as the G-Tank :)

Sounds great Dan! Just out of curiosity, do you know how much joose it will hold at it's shortest, and at the length you use?

no I actually do not, would have to make the shorty tank and measure how much it will hold. Never measured how much the regular one holds. Will do it, I have time LOL
