I've been refilling my SGV3 with an 18g syringe. I get about 75% full and it starts pouring out of the top wick. Looks like the wick is acting as a straw and pushing out juice to equalize pressure. Any tips on how to refill w/o making such a mess? Pinch the wick at the bottom, smaller gauge needle?

Use a big enough syringe (10ml) to fill the tank. I found that when I used a 5ml syringe that when I went to add more to fill it completly that it would push the juice out of the wick during the second fill. once I switched to a larger syringe I was able to fill the tank on the first attempt without having the juice come out the wick.

Hm that's interesting, you are right I am using a 3ml syringe and it is on the 2nd-3rd fill that it's leaking. I'll have to see if I can find a 10ml, had a hard time trying to get the box 3mls I have in NY.

I think it depends on the seller. That's where I got my 100ct 3CC box, but I had orders before that were canceled because I'm in NY and didn't have a script. Kinda funny because I walk to Walgreens and pick up syringes under the clean needle act.

Ive been sliding the bottom tube back just enough to fit my top of my bottle in. holding upside down over a spare bottle I quickly fill, wipe oring, push the tube back in place, and dab the wick so its not soaked. I usually get about 5-6 drops off the wick into the spare bottle and of course its only 90% full but, this way it takes 20sec and it works for me.

Ahh, the port is there but not always plugged. A piece of carto nail indeed. Also filling through a 1/16" hole with a smaller gauge needle (not 16G) so the air gets past the needle should stop it from from leaking up through the wick.

Mine pumps up even with a 22 gauge needle. I still have not figured out why THAT happens, but the juice dam works so I've put my curiosity to rest for the time being.

Hey guys i didnt want to make a new thread since this question is related to Scubage, hope someone can help. So i put together my scubagen and everything works, all 4 coils light up, the wick is in (400 ss) and isnt kinked at all, but every time i take a pull it kills my throat like burning that won't stop for awhile. I cant understate how much a big drag hurts.

So first is i'd like to know what this is if anyone else has experience. I have tried breaking in the wick and coil i pulled without inhaling for about a half a tank and this hasnt diminished at all.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

You may need to drill a 1/32" hole to direct airflow over the coil. But it does taste nasty until seasoned.

Sounds like the issue I had. There's pictures of mine some pages back. Does it glow even if u drip? How tight are ur coils to the wick?
