Very few shops in CA are dual use like that... yes, some of the head shops sell ecig stuff... but the vaping stores very rarely carry anything but eCigs and supplies.(there are rare exceptions, like I'll note below)

I also will not do business with any shop that is dual use... not that I have anything against people who choose to partake in *other things*, but I don't want local authorities to have any more reason to question the practice or business of vaping.

In fact, At the recent grand opening on Vapor Labs in Costa Mesa, I went and picked up some juice(20% off)... after completing my purchase I noticed they also carry a line of vaporizers for "dry plant matter"... I will not be patronizing that store again... and, now that I look at their website and see it is also for sale there... I will likely stop giving the entire chain my business.

But over all, I'd say 80% or more of the vaping stores in So Cal are eCig only... and we have dozens... may even be into the hundreds now.

I agree with your statement ClippinWings. I have been in quite a few local Vape Shops (not Vapor Labs) and have not seen any dual use products.
Seal Beach has lost my business and that of my husband and our extended families until they decide to lift this ban.

Yes, I can definitely attend. I'm going to try to get my husband and his friend to take the day off and go with me. Do you have any other information regarding the meeting that might be helpful to me?

Thanks for the info Placebo Effect, I've read through some of the Call To Action already and will finish reading and start writing after some errands.

Ok, I think I'm in for the meeting in the 23rd...

Baring any unforeseen work emergencies... Or scheduling of my kids' Back to School night.

I'll hit up some of my local vape shops too... Specifically, Local Vape and Vapor Labs HB...

Hey after the meeting maybe we can all hit Harbor House in Sunset for some grub?

I'm glad to see you guys are going to be able to go.
This one I could have been able to make, and I want in on Harbor House too!

Unfortunately, I'm going to be in Vegas that weekend for Vapefest.
And then we're heading from Vegas to San Francisco for three more nights.

:(

Ah that's too bad, i would have really liked to meet you in person DC2. Have fun at Vapefest and try not to spend all your money there. :)

In a way, the shops did it to themselves. How many of the shops there strictly sell e-nic devices? The 2 vape shops I know of in my area are also head shops. I won't do business with them and wouldn't care if they get shut down. I'm guessing many shops in southern California are also dual-purpose shops, rather than being strictly e-nic stores.

Where did you get this info?

All the Vape shops in Long Beach, are strictly Vape, not dual purpose.

I didn't realize Long Beach encompassed all of Southern California. My bad. I actually asked how many are dual purpose. Not sure that can be misinterpreted for all shops in S. California are dual purpose.

Someone already posted Vapor Labs sells vaporizers not intended for e-nic. These city councils wouldn't be lumping e-nic stores with other stores, unless they had a reason to. Certainly not all vape shops in S. California sell other supplies, but given California's stance on other inhaled substances, it is no wonder vendors would appeal to those customers, as well.

Long Beach does not encompass all of Socal. But it was this statement that sounded all encompassing. I was just asking where the data was from. Some tobacco shops are now carrying ecigs, because they are beginning to lose sales on cigarettes. But they don't have a clue, as to what does what.

Some of the tobacco shops in Long Beach always carried drug stuff.

The statement above sounds like something the ANTZs would use. We have to beat them back with facts, or show the holes in what they are spouting.

The only vape shops I have been to in the US are also head shops. Being Southern California, with its dru.. culture, seems logical. That's why I asked. I assumed they are all like Wonderlands. I hate it when vape shops are dual purpose or when head shops sell vape gear. Gives vaping a bad name.

Um, yeah... I can walk you to two from my house that are strictly nic vape based and drive you to at least ten within a ten mile radius...
