Well, I can only speak for myself...but my .8 ohm build runs at 30W and 4.89V according to the Seven 30's display.

The calculator estimates me at 6.12 Amps (4.9V) so that's sounds just about spot on. I'm actually taxing the chip more than regal55 is with .7 ohm @ 20W...

I can still put it on my mech too. :p

Right. You can have your cake and eat it too :toast:

Well, I just learned something important. A metal body tube mod is NOT what you want to be using when your battery shorts out. I hit my fire button, next thing I know the tube cutouts are imprinted on my hand and I'm scrambling to get the battery cap off. Upon further investigation, it appears the chip shifted for some reason, causing the short.

Nothing a cool, wet washcloth and some burn gel can't help. I'm just glad I got the battery cap off before the battery had a full on meltdown and caused even more damage. The battery pin desoldered, the delrin spacer is half melted, and the top of the battery is scorched a little, but both the battery and the chip seem to be okay. I'll be needing one of KustomVapes' dead Seven-30s now tho. Luckily, I get paid tomorrow.

Wow! You should definitely be asking for a refund / replacement if your regulated mod malfunctioned dangerously like that. Take some pictures and send them to your vendor or even the manufacturer. Probably Pioneer4U would want your shorted mod too to examine what happened.

BTW if I ever trust a mod to contain the force of an explosion and direct the force into a certain direction it would be the Seven-22 (in that case straight up into the ceiling lol).

The V2 pictures really have me intrigued now lol. Shiny!

Hahaha it wasn't their fault. My chip fried a couple months ago, since then I installed an SX350 into the mod. Whatever happened, it was my fault, probably because I didn't fix the chip in place well enough. This is why we're always warning people about battery safety. As far as venting goes, the cutouts on the sides of the mod would be perfect in that situation, however I'll be damned if I'm going to allow a battery to vent in any mod of mine. I'd rather sustain burns and save the mod if at all possible.

So, after cracking the screen on my SX350 while replacing it in my Seven-30 last night, I've decided to just go with a Bap box for now. I'm gonna convert my Seven-30 back to a mech, complete with a proper button. I might try again in the future, but not until they stop releasing upgrades for the chip. Pulling it out every time there's an upgrade obviously isn't working for me lol.
