Yep that's who I got it from, they have 7 not counting mine that are fried and pioneer has had it "under investigation" for the last few weeks. I chose to 350ize mine vice return.

I banged up my tube a little figuring out how to 350ize it and asked kustomvapes if he would sell me one of the many defunct ones he has so I can replace my tube now that I know how to do it without banging it up and he sent me one free of charge for sharing my findings with him. Kudos to kustomvapes, thank you. Now I can replace my banged up tube.

Maybe you should get him to give you extras, you put the 350 chip in them and let them sell them on ebay... :D

I have Kudo's for KustomVapes as well... I bought my Seven-30 from them on ebay... When my unit failed, they sent me a new one USPS Priority that they pulled out of the box and made sure the 510 screw wasn't off center, with a return label in it to send the bad one back. They were also very good and patient with my pesky questions about the issues.

Not a bad idea. I just contacted him about buying one as well, thanks for the tip. Mine is pretty much trashed, almost impossible to get the battery cap on or off now, and it's all scratched up from my stunt with the bench vice. I may just keep it for a mech, and hopefully get a burned out tube from KV or someone else if I can't from him. I'm even thinking about trying to cram one of the new Raptors in mine, maybe putting the pot through the button hole and converting it to bottom fire.

I have a brass monkey RDA which has two coils in parallel. Would I be safe with two 1.5 ohm coils, that should give 0.75 ohms? I have been running two tiny 2 ohm 33 guage coils so I want to try to dip into the sub ohm range for a try. I know 0.75 ohms is close to 0.7 but is it too close?

That's fine its the .5 you don't want to get close to.

I blew my original out with a Kanger AeroTank Giant on the .8 subohm coils...

But it may have been the 510 connector in the Aerotank rather than the resistance of the coils...

Yeah I ran .7 for a while with no issues but its pretty evident to me any tank that has 510 potential short issues will be a problem.

I am still living dangerous with the Aerotank Giant on top, but I tend to take the top half off the Kanger to refill and swap coils...

Really not diggin this tank much except it looks so good... It eats coils at about 2-3x the rate of my aspire naultilus tank... :(

I have been waiting and waiting on the current naultilus coils to expire, as I bought some of the new mini bvc coils to try... :p

I don't have the Aerotank Giant but I really liked the Nautilus...before I found Fogger and now Kaiser. And vertical coils were what I ran in the fogger until I found donuts. And with a single donut in the Kaiser it's like wow. I went three weeks without a single misfire on my first Kaiser donut build then I got a leak, prolly cause I knocked it over...repacked with Rayon and I'm back to wow. The Kaiser flows juice like crazy on a donut build and the flavor off of donuts is so long lasting and consistent and better than coils. Hope those BVCs work good.

So I recently swapped out the SX300 in my Seven30 mod for the SX350. Everything went fine except I'm haveing issues when using a 2 ohm build the screen flashes "Check Battery" even if battery is fully charged. And when holding the firing button the wattage will changed constantly from 50 watts to 10 watts repeatedly, along with large voltage drops... Any ideas??

What battery are you using? Is it doing that at lower power settings or on lower resistance builds?

Edit: also, in the pictures it says 0.5 ohms. Is that your 2 ohm build?

A 2 ohm build reading .5 seems like a short, but those battery reading seem funky too...

does it actually say low battery or just that line through the battery icon ??? Even in the 10w picture, you have "chunked" the battery down to nothing... I am only pushing 30w on my stock Seven-30, but my batteries maintain 65-85% in the icon...

How does it behave at lower wattage settings like 30w or 40w ... Or on lower ohm coils ??? Big watts like lower ohms as a general rule...

Pondering if you are exceeding the limits of the board maybe??? Board is spec'd for max voltage of 9.5v and given a 2 ohm coil... That works out to 45watts...

To get to 50watts, with a 2 ohm coil, you would have to do 10volts and 5amps... Maybe the chipset can't dc to dc convert that ???

Check this sx350 varitube thread for help.I had the same problems on my sx350 box mod from bad battery contacts and using to thin of wire.

This thread is invaluable to anyone working with this chip. It's actually run by the Varitube supplier, and if you're willing to scroll through the hundreds of posts, there's some awesome information. Dunno why I didn't think to link it before.

On a side note, I finally got my hands on a chip! Albeit in an extremely ugly mod. But it came with a VTC5 and a brand new ProTank 2, and only cost me about 10 bucks more than a chip by itself. I'm gonna strip it down for parts, but probably not for a couple weeks. I'm waiting on some high end 16AWG wire to upgrade the chip so it'll better handle the new 60W update, but if I'm putting it in my Seven-30 I'll need to get a better battery as well, my current 26650 isn't quite up to spec. I'm thinking a couple of the Panasonic 50a oughta do it. If those Keeppower batteries on AtoZ are really legit, they would be even better with 4000mah versus the Panasonic 2650mah, but I haven't been able to find any definitive information on them yet.
