No, they Do need those ideas. Vodka can only be vodka flavored, coffee cannot have hazelnut, caramel, chocolate or even straight cream or creamer,hell.. even icee's can now only have ice!
Democracy as it is now presented is a hoax. Do they even teach that the US is a Constitutional Republic?
Not that would really help, it's been twisted so much you can't tell front from back.

Voter turnout in SF for this election was 33.24% of the registered voters. Registered voters are around 50% of those eligible to register. Some Democracy in action. In General it is probably the same all over the country.

I agree that voting really only matters to the group in question. And, yes if someone is not a vaper, or doesn't know much about it, well, my mom just sat me down to inform me of all the "new studies" on how it's not healthy.

I educated the (censored) out of her, and granted she's gone oddly spiritual and anti science but this lady USED TO WORK for the NIH Human Genome project. She should darn well be able to read a study!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course if unfamiliar with vaping and terminology, well, I guess one unthinkingly just goes with the "current trend." It ended up with her agreeing that teens who want to act out should vape. It took her a while to reach that conclusion, LOL.

But really, it's SAD, to be quite honest. I mean, the woman has a PhD. I was glad to educator while simultaneously thinking, "Did you pay attention to ANY of my past statements about vaping and how happy my doctors were/are."

She is a liberal. She tried to convince me to vote for Hillary. Just saying. I'm sure not EACH and every last liberal is the suck, I don't want to go outside, and that is not what I am attempting to do.

But, she "heard" these facts from liberal media sources, not conservative ones. She won't listen to conservative sources.

There does at least seem to be... a correlation. Although, I remain dismayed that her science "points'" have lessened. Jeez.

Some respect lost.

I hear you.

The FDA gives e-Cigarette Users an opportunity to say why Flavored e-Liquids are Important and why they Shouldn't Be Banned, and what do they get?

13,922 Comments. And Not all of them were Positive.

Federal Register :: Regulation of Flavors in Tobacco Products

Regulations.gov

I suppose if I was the FDA, and got such a Miniscule amount of comments, I'd figure that Vapers Don't Really Give a Rat's Azz if the FDA Bans Flavors or Not.

To touch on points made by Rossum and myself earlier relative to your post, we've somehow morphed from liberal to progressive to enforced progressive (irrespective of political party, mind - liberal, or laissez faire, inclinations are found throughout the spectrum). The current state is, in many respects, a complete 180 from the former.

It's also, I think, a side effect of the information age - salacious nuggets rule the day in a resource (ie your attention) strangled environment.

This produces two ironies: 1) that more information reduces your knowledge, and 2) that knowledge, long associated with increased freedom, actually reduces it when curated as it is today.

Black can be made white with the right click bait spin, and phd's can be made intellectually docile.

I kind of feel like we are on a long, slow heading to enforced Communism by one side.

I am going to make some unpopular statements next. I read that Manifesto by the whatever his name dude, and I really think that it was a horrible, but informative work. Throwing down the government "from within" is throwing down NOTHING merely replacing it with your own version.

I think it may be time soon, to "throw down the government" in a more active way, and start over.

I thought (some) hippies were cool, but I've actually found that many of them were self-centered, obnoxious (censored).

I'm racist at times. So are YOU (to whomever is reading this). For example, I'm NOT racist to the H'mong people because I did a really long research paper on them in SW school. I bet you anything BEFORE that paper, I may have been racist out of ignorance. Sometimes I am "racist" for giggles, and by that, I mean that throwing down an outrageous comment or two here and there (sometimes to get a reaction) can be amusing. Most of the time when I'm racist, it may be ignorance or unthinkingness. I also don't care if ANYONE calls me honky or any other racist name. Racism is also a shifting target (along with all the other --isms") and most people are, from time to time. The people who are the least racist, can acknowledge that fact (in fact) and not freak out for days/months/etc. In fact the husband and I joke quite a bit about Appalachia (he's from there) and even have NAMES for each other when in the coal miner way. Mine is "Sallie Mae" his is "Scooter." We don't hate that area, those people etc. We just joke about it. It's fun.

I don't care for the term cisgender. I'm not oppressing ANY alphabet people and I don't plan to, so they should be thankful I have a working vagina capable of outputting "alphabets" because if you are going to transition, well, remember your "new" vagina may make you feel better, but it's not FUNCTIONAL, so maybe freeze some sperm. That, or don't run around like your PARENT and society at large are OPPRESSING you because your parents (and *I*) DEFINITELY didn't decide what your genitalia should be, and your parents (and I) feel BAD that you have to go through all that stuff, we aren't your CULTURAL OPPRESSORS. I say let an alphabet person do WHAT they want (including transitioning) on their own time, at their own cost, and etc.

So, don't treat me like I'm the cotton plantation owner. I'm not. I do not OWN your (incorrect) genitalia nor did I produce it .Knock it off with the "cisgender." I am FEMALE, and I actually DON'T care if you just used the term "female' yourself, heck, even if you DON'T transition, often a wise choice. I really don't care that much about your nouns and pronouns. Etc.

There is a difference between EMBRACING difference versus MANDATING it. The "mandating" effect, oddly, leads to less free speech for EVERYONE because it's "mandated" either happily by the current communist body, or at least somewhat "reluctantly" by those who don't WANT to embrace the current climate (it grows increasingly more shrill) but feel that any statements to the contrary are going to cause dismay, dissent and personal trouble for themselves. I am even WRITING this reluctantly and thinking "I am going to get in trouble" for this post. I hope not.

But yes, we are definitely living in times where SOURCE of information is almost MORE important than the information itself. We need to worry less about racism/sexism/etc. whatever, than what our society is turning into which is AT BEST a self-selecting group of shrill, sad people who are so LOUD and OVERWHELMING that any reply is considered an attack.

I've decided to leave this. I'm sure it won't be well received by many, but well, it is what it is. If it's removed, well, I'll notice. I understand the whole "SFW" thing, but I don't think a thing I've said is really all that terrible.

Kudos to you for boldly speaking your mind. While I don't completely agree with everything in your post, there are a number of points you made that I do. I believe that we as a society have moved so far away from the freedom to think, speak, believe freely that we should encourage one another when we find someone who has the courage to express themselves freely, especially when we've had so much of the opposing viewpoints crammed down our throats for so long and told how much we are wrong and horrible for thinking differently. I apologize for participating in the thread derail, but I am not sorry for anything I said. And now I too shall back away...

Agreed, but it's a sad testament to just how illiberal those folks have become.
As someone who you know considers himself a liberal, I hesitate more and more each day to use the word liberal to describe myself. Your statement was very well put my friend. And this vote makes me sick. NY better not follow suit... :(

SF flavor ban passed yesterday. Tobacco stores are already ready to roll with bottles of unflavored nicotine base and a separate small flavor bottle to pour into it.
Since a few years in the EU-countries we already buy bottles PG or VG or a mix of PG/VG (with or without nicotine) and have a big choice in flavors and all kinds of bottles. Of course the veterans are helping the beginners to inform them and steam-engine.org does the rest.
