Have they banned cigarettes?

“We [juul] encourage the City of San Francisco to severely restrict youth access but do so in a way that preserves the opportunity to eliminate combustible cigarettes,” the company said. “This proposed legislation begs the question — why would the city be comfortable with combustible cigarettes being on shelves when we know they kill more than 480,000 Americans per year?”

Like I needed another reason to not visit that cesspool...or the whole state for that matter.
There are some really unique and amazing things to be seen on a visit to California. But I doubt I'll be going back there again in this lifetime.

What he said ... and I'm trying to be good enough so karma doesn't put me there in next.

It's so sad. California could be, used to be, a paradise. Cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway on a summer day, stopping for some delicious seafood along the way, watching the waves and the sunsets, the sea gulls and pelicans and sea lions... Mountains, beaches, margaritas... :D

The sequoia trees are what's most deeply etched in my mind.

I've done the PCH from the top of Washington State to just north of SF (the picture I posted above). The part below SF had been on my bucket list, but the thought is not as appealing as it once was.

Agreed--and they haven't ruined those yet.

It'a still breathtakingly beautiful. But the political climate is becoming unbearable. Even in more conservative SoCal. Taxes, regulations, home prices, poverty, socialism...

    *sigh*

You take SF and LA out of the Mix, and California basically become Regan Country again.

It's basically a red state with a massive blue city that mucks things up.

It's not the blue that bothers me--it's the fact that the old Democratic blue is suddenly turning a rather unappealing shade of pinkish/red.

From what I gathered, SF is banning ALL vaping products not just JUUL's.... I could be wrong about that, but that is how I perceived what they were saying.... If that is the case, then all vape shops in SF would have to close their doors as well as all other vape related businesses.... Sad indeed .... Not only that, but once one city adopts such a policy then you can bet that many others will soon follow :(

You and I must read different news. The old blue moved past navy and seems to be turning a shade towards black and becoming the party of socialism and confused genitals.

Well I guess ...if your going to San Francisco...be sure to NOT to wear those flowers in your hair anymore...the live and let live attitude that was what at one time the Hallmark of San Francisco, that made it home to the beatniks, Hippies, Homosexuals, Freaks, Bikers, every religon and cult, free speech, free love, free thinking, has become the "New Churchladies" a cult of self righteous delusional totalitarian creeps.I lived in SF for over a decade, and the attitude among the people was....freedom to be yourself however you percieved it.there was only one taboo...violence...everything else was welcomed hell was encouraged...it was the only place in the world where a gay bearded lady midget could honestly say she was going to spend the day watching the freaks on the street and have her mind blown....now it appears to be a collection of Puritans looking for a witch to burn...I mean look at it..it was the city that produced the Grateful Dead, the Jefferson Airplane, Sly and the family Stone,The dead Kennedys.. ...what have they given us in the last 20 years....idotic political grandstanding virtue signalling frauds and probally the greatest and most inhuman disparity of wealth in the country.
