Innocent until proven guilty.
I read once that when Kings of ancient Sparta finished their 10 year term in office they were automatically put on trial for treason. They had to prove they were innocent or be executed. Maybe that would keep politicians honest.
That is a genius idea! "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"

Up here in Canada, all of the places that have 'no smoking' signs, DON'T have 'no vaping' signs....YET!
So I personally enjoy pushing the boundaries and vaping in those areas.
No enforcement or anyone else for that matter has approached me yet, saying I can't vape, but I push it because I want to say to said figure "but, I'm NOT smoking"... And I want to get a ticket and bring it to court to argue it, and tip off the media in order to get the convo started.

You aren't pushing the boundaries, you are breaking the law --- it's already been decided, whether the signs are there or not:

I see it as quite the opposite really and a serious obvious problem and threat is being exposed.

When day, after day, after day, after day, I see the same exact catch phrases used by all left leaning television, radio, social media, major print, and politicians using the same words to describe a belief to be disseminated to the masses, and it happens within a span of minutes or hours I know that a disinformation attack of vast proportions is being perpetrated on the US population. It makes all forms of media sounding like parrots that have only learned a few phrases without thought behind their words. This is unbiased news? It is obvious and blatant and there is no way a thinking person could classify this as anything other than propaganda on a very large scale. This is especially clear when a short time later it is proven that these catch phrases that are designed to sway opinion are provably false, and yet it had already done it's disinformation work and no retractions are issued to correct the errors leaving the initial impression intact and the objective achieved.

This cannot happen by accident given the frequency of the occurrences. The real question is who is the entity originally crafting and having the power to control the narrative to this degree?

If the Russians and their shenanigans affected the 2016 election, it was quite mild in comparison to this level of organized propaganda. I guess Americans are really good at just about everything, including propaganda.

The only folks less trusted at this point than the current media... all forms of media, is our politicians. But at least with the politicians we are not supposed to trust them, but keep an ever watchful eye. We need to take the same view towards the media now which shapes so much of the populations opinions. This not a left/right thing either. Distrust all media now because they are not worthy of our trust.

Great post. The same happen in Europe right now.

That's what coffee and cigarettes were for. Maybe I should have just slept.

Eh, it doesn't quite seem that way when the head of the executive branch of this government frequently refers to the free press as an "enemy of the state". Certainly more the thing you expect to hear in places like the old Soviet Union from folks like Stalin. Unless it's Fox and he likes the story.

He called Fake news the enemy of the people. It just so happens that alot of the "free press" are partisan hacks.Never before have we seen such behavior from the people we count on to question everything, report honestly, and do it without bias. Talk about a threat to our Democracy........

Its a lovely idea except it's far more difficult to prove a negative - if not an impossibility.

This is why people are innocent until proven guilty. Proving positives is easier, so if your going to accuse you must have evidence to back up your words.

It is also true that people are found guilty because of the preponderance of evidence due to the fact that even in the face of evidence people can be actually innocent, even though the evidence shows a strong possibility, if not probability.

But the most fair to both the accused and the victims (and potential future victims) is to have evidence rather make people go about the mountainous (if not impossible) task of trying to prove a negative.

Because if there is no evidence, how do you "prove" it doesn't exist, when it doesn't exist in the first place.

Ah.... @RebeccaD how old are you? I'm just curious.

By the way they have done studies and the average human being commits a felony a day. I like to think that there is a nice, pious church group around, to absorb some of "my" felonies.

My point is, y'aint speshal. other than some strange desire to like. get caught and become a media.... whatever.

If you wanna do it right, find a policeman, .get his attention, and then blow vape in his face.

Told you I was good at felonies.

Plus, there would be no COURT involved. You would get a citation similar to a parking ticket. To really get anywhere fast you would have to kick the policeman in the shin or something.

I just want to add public executions after their terms end due to voted out by the people

A law should be enacted where anyone in a position of authority breaks a law they should get the mandatory maximum for that offense, after all, they are supposed to be role models and should know better than anyone. As it is now they literally get away with murder.

All good ideas. There is just one problem with all of them. In order to get these laws written and passed, you would need the very people that these laws would impact to write and vote on them.

Last time I was there, I had a street gentleman who apparently enjoyed copious amount of an illegal substance sit down next to me while I was outside vaping and tell me for the 30 minutes about (as near as I can tell) about how Jesus and the Disney Corporation were out to get him. He finally left when I told him I was the Pope and that we have people watching him too. The next day a woman who may have been his wife offered to toss my salad in the prison sense for only $10 unsolicited. But vaping is a real problem.
That is so funny, Katya. It boggles the mind how hypocritical and disgustingly self righteous people can get on their butts and preach to people what's GOOD for them. Just like the pharma people who want to ban vitamins and such because it doesn't present a profit to them. I'm seriously worried about the direction this country is headed to. What are we supposed to do now, hoard our coils?

Countries with the highest standard of living are socialist democracies? The troubles in the USA stem directly from the 89 dual Israeli Nationals in your US Congress which is illegal under the American Constitution. The last time a country was this top heavy with Jews was in the Russians version of parliament just before the Bolshevik revolution that resulted in up to 60 million Russians dying. Im not a Jew hater Im just stating facts.

That's some of the most antisemitic crap I've ever read. You think being a jew makes you a "dual citizen" of questionable loyalty? That's the line only preached at white supremacy fascist meetings. And there is nothing in the US constitution barring anyone of any religion from public office so stop the Nazi line. And saying you're not a Jew hater but just "stating facts" is a hate statement of itself. Talk about fake news and alternative truth. You're a walking typing example of it.

My only comment here is, If you want something to get completely messed up, give it to the government. Government in any form or any size cannot do anything & I mean anything correctly. No matter what it is government will mess it up.
Yes it is necessary but it is also inherently evil.

Fortunately you will always be able to get heating wire, batteries and DIY supplies to make 0mg ejuice.

Well, no one ever says ANYTHING to me. I would still argue that the no smoking sign doen't address vaping. SO, WE'LL SE NOW I GUESS!
i always argue that point

put a no smoking sign up then shout "can you not read the sign" at someone vaping
when that sign has no bearing on what your doing

Eskie he is a foreigner that has no idea what he's talking about.

Thanks Don. But he knows exactly what he's talking about. Not the first time hearing stuff like this. Just not supposed to be in this place. Can't wait to see what "mods" here do given language filters for potty mouth, no "other stuff" discussed, and posters tossed out for arguing too heatedly about deck and coil designs. I expect to find out quite a bit about moderating here over the next day.
