Well, we'll just have to replace the LED with a laser to draw a light show in the vapour instead.

I can see it now - a "no smoking" sign - floating in the vapor....

I got my first "what choo smokin?" this morning from a new lady at work - had to explain the whole e-cig thing to her. She seemed impressed...

I've been vaping at my local bar and people keep asking me to order kits for them. So far I've resisted, except for when the landlord asked - always be nice to the person who controls the drinks ...

Last week I went to lunch with a friend of mine. This is the first time I've seen him since I started with the ecig. As usual we sat in the smoking section (yes...no smoking ban here...and the smoking section has better scenery if you know what I mean.) He gave my blue 901 funny look a few times, but never said a word. I wonder what he thought I was smoking.

I was crossing the street yesterday when I heard "that's a disgusting habit" from a colleague of mine who happened to be crossing at the same time.

[As an aside, why do people feel free to say things like this; I can't imagine saying to a fat person "don't you think you're a bit hefty to be eating that pastry"]

I quipped back "It's not real" and flashed my white EVO. She was impressed and, since she didn't know that I was a smoker (at all), even said "You don't look like a smoker" (whatever that means). I replied that I prefer smack and ....... when I'm at home.

We then came across another colleague who joined in the discussion and had even heard of e-cigs - her friend is using them apparently and said she has seen a taxi driver vaping one. She even commented that he raved on and on about how fabulous it is.

Neither of these never-smokers thought it was a bad thing at all; both thought that it was a great device. Maybe it depends on how you present these things - I didn't say, for example, "yeah, now I can smoke in the office, haha" (although I do occasionally, very discretely).

Also this week I saw my first ever other e-smoker in the wild!
Walking down the street I noticed a lady holding/puffing a cigarette rather awkwardly and, given it's size, I'm sure it was an e-cig.

They're catching on...

Not sure if I'll be brave enough to pull out my soon-to-be arriving screwdriver walking down the street though

Last week I was at a noisy bar which allowed smoking. I was doing only the vapors. A guy thought I was rude, he wanted a light for his cig and I did not have one. He kept pointing at the glowing end of the vaporizer. Finally I touched the "lit" LED to my hand and looked over. I do not know if he "got" it or just thought I was a tough guy but then he left me alone!

May your vapors all be smooth and tasty.

TB..I have to do it...I want the public to be aware and not afraid of it....Always use the 3 words..No Fire..No Smell...No Ashes....Thank God I am in the Third World... :p

That's a handy quote. Think I'll memorize it and use it whenever the opportunity presents itself. Just got my ecig today, so I haven't used it yet. While reading about it during one of my smoke breaks at work, I mentioned to someone about wanting to try it. But as I was trying to explain what it was, I noticed my co-worker's eyes glaze over and she became quickly disinterested. "No Fire...No Smell...No Ashes!" says it all in a nutshell.
