i smoke them in the office and my boss and other colleagues are very supportive, they dont mind it, as for out in public, i try not to bring any attention on myself, if i'm in the pub, i'll smoke it in the pub but make sure that no one notices (i.e. i pull my sleve right down and take a few draws and exhale back up my sleve so no one notices) its worked so far!

I was thinking of smoking it on the plane a few weeks back but i didnt have the courage and was worried, just in case a smoke alarm went off or something! (it was only a two hour flight so i was fine)

It's taken me a few months, but I now openly vape at the office I work at - the guys that sit round about me think it's funny and say it doesn't bother them in the slightest.

I'm also a DJ in my spare time, I vape away in the booth at the club I work at. I make no attempt to hide it, but only 1 person in a hundred will actually notice - and that's only if they come up to make a request and I'm mid exhale!

In general I'm pretty amazed by how blind people are to it, I think the brain filters the image out because people 'just don't smoke indoors' anymore!

There was one time that my brother and I were using our e-cigs together in a club on a night out. He had a white super mini and I had my black mini. We ended up being mobbed with people asking us what they were all night, we almost felt like celebrities. Once you get a crowd going then people just can't help but try and find out what everyone else is looking at. The brain is a funny thing!!

I get a real kick out of smoking in class at college. Every professor has a different reaction. I was in class the other day and I just pulled out my e-cigarette and started puffing..The professor, an older, tall, lanky guy with a long nose peering over his reading glasses looks up and his mouth drops. He stops his lecture and just stares at me. I stared back. The class got quiet and everybody turned in my direction. I just sat there, staring back at the professor until he says "get that out of here!". He just did know how to react, wasn't sure what to do. It was very funny hahaha

If you vaped in my class, I'd tell you to come by my office and we'd vape there. However, I wouldn't allow it in the class, as someone would complain and before you know it there'd be a campus-wide ban.

i was pretty scared to be called a wuss since the first place i used my 901 in public was the tattoo shop were i spend ALL my spare time haha well i just decided to go for it when my artist took a smoke break he was like wtf once i explained he was in awww took about three hits and asked me to order him some haha what are the chances

Hey Digitalmechanic......telling the kind of people who might want to stop you vaping that it's a 'nicotine inhaler from your doctor' sounds like it would be a great idea for all of us to do that. I can't see anyone telling you not to use it if you say that.

I would leave out the part about being from a doctor. Saying that will drive hordes of people to their doctors asking for a prescription for a nicotine inhaler. Imagine their disappointment when they get that prescription home and take a puff. LOL Just saying it is a nicotine inhaler to help you not smoke though is the best explanation IMO.

Yesterday we rode motorcycles up to the country on twisty roads. I wear a modular full face helmet, which can be flipped up to expose my face. Whenever I felt like vaping, I flipped it up and vaped away.

Later we stopped at an 18 and up bar that allowed smoking. I vaped and none of the other smoking patrons even noticed.

I noticed that most of the smokers had a cough, but not me.

New here lol, but I figured this is good a place as any to let my voice be heard.


Well I've been vaping for about a week. I work in a butchers shop and smoking IS NOT ALOWED. Not by the owners they could care less, but the USDA inspects the building daily. They are there for roughly 4 hours out of the 8 that I work.

So one day I decided I would chance puffing away on my e-cig. I stuck that bad boy in my mouth and pulled a nice long drag. A nice cloud of vapor came out and no sooner that happened the inspector came over and started to wig out on me. All the while I'm sitting there puffing away smiling. After he calmed down and I explained to him what was coming out of my mouth he actually liked the idea.

I asked him if he thought it was cool for me to use it, and he said there is pretty much nothing he could do or say about it because it was an unknown product and there is nothing to say its letting anything bad out.

So now I can finally 'smoke' at work.... Its awesome.

On a side note my boss rubs snuff and every now and then he'll sneak over and grab my DSE901 out of my ear and take a couple puffs so he can get his quick fix.

i'm new to e-cigs, just heard about them on friday when a client of mine began vaping at my desk!

it started a conversation of course and i was totally intrigued, i researched all night and ordered a penstyle from epuffer, hope it turns out well for me

i think vaping in public is a wonderful idea, you never know who you may help. if e-cigs end up working for me, i will have this woman's public vaping to thank for helping me kick tobacco for good

I have used mine... sort of discreetly while covering the LED and by exhaling under a table or into a corner or something like that (without getting questioned or thrown out) at...

I am also a College Professor and although I try not to vape IN class.. I do step into the hall for a few puffs rather than taking a break to go outside in the middle of the class. Although I do allow the poor analog smokers to leave to go outside when they need to.


For those who posted they used it in a gas station... not a smart idea! The atomizer heats up very hot!!! With gasoline fumes around and ready to ignite.. that is prob not a bright idea!

So we sat and when the waiter came over I took out my 901 and told him, see this? this is an electronic cigarette, it's nothing like a real cigarette because it doesn't produce smoke or an odor. I then demonstrated for him and told him that what he was seeing was vapor not smoke. He shrugged and said ok no problem. We placed our order and while waiting for our food to arrive me and the hubby vaped a bit until the manager came over and wanted to know what we were doing and what we told the waiter. So, I explained to him everything, then he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of tissues and handed me one and asked me to blow the vapor through the tissue. So, I did and he took the tissue and held it up to the light and sniffed it! Then he says, "ok then" and walked away. I couldn't believe he sniffed the tissue! & thought it was funny hubby kept kicking me under the table because I almost started cracking up.

Sure didn't plan to, but while in Michaels to buy some VG, I asked a clerk about the VG and some Wilton flavorings they had. She immediately asked how I was going to use it, after stammering I tried to explain the e-cig. She was a smoker and was very interested, but just couldn't imagine what I was talking about and asked me to come back and let her know how it worked. So I retrieved my e-cig from the car and she called another smoker over and I puffed away right in the middle of the store, gave them both a PureSmoker card with this forum on the back.

Oh, but up front at the checkout, when I laid the VG and 2 flavorings down, that lady said very loudly "oh, somebody is going to bake cookies, what kind are you making?" I sure wasn't ready for that! I just mumbled well, not exactly. She persisted in what are you going to do with it? I said smoke it Her eyes were about to pop out of her head, so I just said at least it's not cigarettes. Her eyes got even bigger! Later I realized she must of thought I was talking about mixing it with pot?!! Hope these bottles last me a while so I won't have to go thru her line anytime soon!

LOL, that's EXACTLY what I do. I cut the puresmoker business cards down to a size that fits in my 901 case (but still has their website showing) and I wrote this forum address on the back. Anytime someone asks where they can get one I just pull out a card and hand it to 'em.

Iowa is one of the states that has imposed a total smoking ban in pretty much any business.

I went for a haircut tonight at Sports Clips. Was told the wait would be 20 minutes. I pulled out my 901 and asked "do you mind if i use this while i wait?"
I explained there is no tobacco, took it apart showed her the parts and what it was. She asked me "so it's a kind of inhaler? That's fine i don't care as long as there's no tobacco."

So i vaped for 20 minutes while waiting. There was two other guys waiting, they didn't even give me second look.

Hi all! I fractured my shoulder on Nov. 8, and before the ambulance took me away, I grabbed my meds and my e-cig. When I got to the ER, the MDs and other personnel had absolutely no problem with my using it. The doctors were fascinated (as were many other nurses, etc.).

After a week there, I went to a place for rehab. (I'd fractured my hip, too, so needed to be able to walk before leaving.) I was there for two weeks, and the personnel there were not as welcoming. They said it wasn't a problem as far as smoke/secondhand smoke, etc. The problem was patients who smoked seeing me and thinking they could light up or becoming alarmed. We agreed I could use it as long as no patients saw me. It worked out great.

Before that, I couldn't quite wean myself from regular cigarettes. Three weeks into the ordeal, however, I was, obviously, completely off cigarettes. Sooooo, I've been tobacco-free since November 8th. I am soooo happy.

I know I'm rarely on here, but I love this forum and reading all your comments. I've learned so much, so thanks, everyone.
