Not that there's going to be any huge noticeable chance on that date, but because unless something drastic changes in the next two years, it's the date our vaping world truly begins to dissolve. 
While I do think the bulk of my stockpile is done, I will likely continue to pick up other stuff so long as it's available. All products will not suddenly disappear on Monday. I'll continue to add but at a more leisurely pace, especially favorite premixed juice so I don't have to hit up my freezer before it's absolutely necessary (other than specific DIY stuff I prefer to do even now). Maybe even a few more mods and tanks in the coming months.
I still need to buy some unflavored PG Nic base for making DIY juice.
I believe this Nic base liquid will still be available after 8 Aug, and they will have 2 years from that date to comply with the new regs or stop selling it ... am I right?
In other words ... I don't think everything will come to a halt on Aug 8.

8/8 should pass without immediate drastic change but it marks the beginning of a market that will face persistent increasing headwinds and hassles. Juice mixers have the most to worry about over the near term. It seems nic base is safe but I have my doubts that it will go completely untouched for 2 years.
Mods and tanks should be free flowing for the time being. While I do think international shipments will be scrutinized for compliance at some point, I think the FDA's main focus will be on age/packaging requirements and inspections on juice mixers.
The hammer is going to drop slowly. Or like driving a nail. The hits keep coming until the job is done unless the courts stop them.
Luckily many of us on ecf can watch from the sidelines and stare at our stash. And we should have lead time to react if we need to. Just my opinions of course. All we can do is watch and wait.

Only thing for sure to change next week is confirming your age with the vendor. Vendors will likely handle it differently, so in some cases it will be a smooth process, and with others a bit more work. It might also slow down fulfillment so some vendors might not be shipping as quickly as others.
As far as Nic base ... I am just worried that they will start slapping a very heavy 'tobacco' tax on it soon, causing the price to triple, or even go higher overnight.
I think if anyone needs Nic base get it now because we have no idea what will come in the future. We really have no idea what new regs will be attached once the deeming goes into effect but FDA did say more regulations coming. It is hard to watch our vape world vanish as we know it today and so many unknowns after 8-8. Unless the courts stop it FDA can do as they please.
I noticed prices and availability have already started to change. MBV no longer has the unflavored nic juice available and RTS nic base 100mg/1000mL is now $99. I bought two 500 mL bottles for $34.99 each a few weeks ago.
Wow that changed fast. I got it while on sale at Wizard not sure what their prices are now.
Well, I may be wrong, but, I believe hardware such as atomizers and VW mods will be available from China (ie: Fasttech) for a long time to come ... And I am betting almost all of it you order via the internet will make it to your door in the US.
The item that will be really effected by this will be pre-made juice from vendors here in the US (there going to be hurting) ... I am also worried about Nic base liquid for us DIY juice makers ... which I believe is set to be taxed to 'high-heaven' sometime in the future.

It is getting vape gear thru customs I wonder about. Importing tobacco products is highly regulated thru FDA. Things that are restricted get an FDA code and FDA already has a system in place at customs so have no idea what will happen 8-8 for importing vape gear.
Just wanted to say that $99.00 has been the regular price for 100mg/ml nicotine at RTS for a very long time. I bought the majority of mine from them and actually never paid that much for it though. I always caught sales or price matched other vendors.
I am sure the price will go up in the future but it isn't happening yet.

Ditto! I have everything I need so decided to grab a few things from FT that aren't really important for me to continue to vape. According to tracking, shipping is progressing just fine.3 days and counting, I still have packages coming in
