Hello Everyone,
Just wondering...What is ethnical regarding what we say on this forum concerning Suppliers? It seems when we have a good/great experience
with a Supplier/Dealer of PVs,,,,we shout their names...But, when we have
a below average or really bad experience with a Supplier, we don't like to
mention their name.........WHY? I am sorry, but to me it seems the old saying should work: Tell the Truth and the Complete Truth....How can we
protect ourselfs and the Newbies from rip-offs if we are afraid to mention
our own experience with a dealer/Supplier...? Just doesn't make sense to me....But, of course,,,I have been wrong a lot in my life.....Also,,,,remember, we are not only talking about the vaping world,,,but the "health" of people, who give up due to the the abuse by some Suppliers...and of course...Enjoy the Adventure...

I always thought it was the other way round, least in most other industries it is; if someone gets a bad service they tend to tell more people than if they got a good or excellent service. It makes sense really, if you get a good service then you are happy, ergo, no need to speak about it. There are loads of supplier complaints in the relevant forum as Buzz and quasimod have pointed out.

People complain all the time - sometimes justifiably sometimes not - but Ive seen the posts, in reviews of suppliers, and other places too.
Often people confuse bad service with their own inexperience (ie, they broke the thing because they didnt ask and went in like a bull in a china shop or they got a juice they didnt like and dont chalk it up to personal taste but instead blame the supplier) and other times because they got actual bad service (wrong parts, non working PV, rude CS etc).
Its not wrong to post about bad experiences, it can help others avoid a bad supplier, I jsut think its polite to make sure you already tried to sort it out with the supplier concerned to give them a chance to rectify things - if they don't then its on lol

Eh...What's up Doc?

That's not an 'old saying' that's an oath you take in court ;-) The old saying you're running up against sometimes is 'If you don't have anything good to say...' etc.

But like quasi says, we get negative stuff here all the time. The only time it is not encouraged to name is when there's not enough info on a credit fraud deal.

I've seen some of what you are talking about in veiled comments like one referring to one suppliers juice that seems to encourage the paint to come off of attys.

Otherwise, it does seem as though most really speak what their experience has been. Usually many replies help sort out what was inexperience and what was truly a supplier not owning their oversight, mistake, lack of service, etc.

Are you referring to an incident in particular that you care to share here?

I've never seen the "Sorry Reviews section" - definitely will check it out since I
seem to keep shopping for this stuff.

I have to admit, I've gotten juice that I thought was terrible from three of the suppliers that seem to be the most popular on here. One had barely any taste and the other two were super bitter and nasty - even when cut down with unflavored.

People rave so much about these suppliers that I figured it was just me, and never have contacted them or posted about it.

The only thing that I have noticed is in this regard is that most members will say that it is a good idea contact the supplier privately to give them the chance to make it right before publicly blasting them. Often there is an honest mistake that can be resolved easily, and many of us will bend over backwards to make a customer happy. If you try to resolve it privately and they act jerky, then it's ON!

I have seen negative comments about suppliers. I think we need to have an open forum so people can post their experiences, both positive and negative.

Sometimes you can read between the lines in the negative posts and get a 'feel' for the personality of the writer. I try to take that into consideration when reading a negative message.

I agree that in some cases, negative feedback does come from new people, (like me) who are not experienced with equipment and juices. For that reason, I would refrain from making a negative comment until I was well versed and familiar with e-cig equipment.

Paying for an order and not getting my order is another thing. Poor communication from a supplier is another thing. Rude customer service is a no-no. I would openly comment on those negative things here on the forum even if I am a new user.

I prefer to read the facts and have the writer leave the hostility out of the message...but that's just me.

Paula

PS - Yes, I agree that contacting the supplier first is the right thing to do. Give the supplier a chance to correct an error and to make the customer happy.

I think that's a big part of the reason. Most people try to be fair-minded about things, and I would want to be very sure of my position before saying something that could do actual harm to somebody's business. I'm actually surprised at the general level of restraint around here. There is actually a pretty high "signal to noise" ratio compared to some forums I've seen.

Don't get me wrong, there are crazies here as well. Just a few days ago some loon posted a screed about a well-known vendor because that vendor had decided not to do business with him "for no reason". Right. Turns out there was more than enough reason. He would ask for crazy custom mixes, then complain about not liking the flavor combinations that he asked for, and ask the company to to send him free juice to replace the stuff he ordered. This guy was writing reviews! What a loon.

Only slightly off-topic: Why do people who have almost zero experience feel the need to write juice reviews? Their opinions are uninformed and irrelevant. So, they like the second juice they've ever tried better than the first? Wow.
